Fortier is so fun to watch. He’s only 5-foot-9, but he’s quick as a cat and had a beautiful-looking shot, so you have to know where he is at all times. Against Plymouth South, he started off the game with a couple of quick threes which really set the tone for St. Mary’s, and then he consistently hit pull-up jumpers throughout the game while playing good defense and fighting for loose balls. He doesn’t let his size stop him from defending with physicality, and he has quite the load of confidence for a sophomore playing in this environment.

Fortier has developed into one of my favorite players to watch in division 2. The 5-foot-9 guard is obviously undersized, but he’s extremely quick and shifty with the ball, so he makes up for it. If you don’t get a hand up on his three ball, he’ll shoot your face off—and quickly. Fortier gets his shot off in a blur and has the utmost confidence in his ability.

Fortier, a sophomore guard out of St. Mary’s, has established himself as one of the top underclassmen in the MIAA. The 6’0″ guard passed the 1,000-point mark on February 15th, an incredible feat for a sophomore, and has quickly asserted himself as threat to score 20+ points any time he steps on the floor. He’s a knockdown shooter from behind the arc, both off the bounce and in catch and shoot situations, and has learned how to leverage his shooting to open up driving lanes. He isn’t afraid to play through contact in the paint, can score it in multiple ways around the basket, and does a nice job of elevating into his jumper in the mid-range.

Fortier, a guard out of St. Mary’s Lynn in Massachusetts, checks in at #24 among the combo guards and #114 overall. Fortier is seemingly the next guard up in a long line of prospects that have had success in the St. Mary’s program, as the sophomore has gotten off to a blazing hot start this winter. Capable of going for 20+ points on any given night, he’s a terrific decision maker with the ball in his hands that just knows what he needs to do to get to his scoring spots. He’s a lights out shooter from behind the arc, but has also really impressed with his reads out of ball screens and his ability to play at different speeds off the bounce, allowing him to get to the rim at will as a finisher.

Fortier is one of my favorite players to watch in the MIAA. The sophomore guard is only 6-foot, but he’s giving Joshua Roux Joshua Roux 6'0" | SG Andover | 2027 State New E of Andover a run for his money as the best shooter in state public school hoops. The St. Mary’s combo guard can get his looks off both on and off the ball, and he has a beautiful release no matter how he gets into his shot. The rotation and footwork are excellent, and he has a repeatable motion. Fortier can also handle the ball very well and has surprising quickness—he’s just a supremely skilled basketball player. He’ll be a star for years to come and will almost certainly play college hoops.

Fortier is an incredibly skilled and exciting combo guard who brings a lot to the game offensively. He can shoot it from very deep—off of both the catch and the dribble—but he also does an excellent job putting the rock on the floor and using crossover moves to get to the rim. He has the ball on a string and is incredibly fundamental with his handle and feel, and he also has a knack for getting teammates involved with a variety of flashy look-away passes. Fortier was a star for St. Mary’s last season, and his improved strength and size will only help him continue to make waves in the MIAA.

Fortier, a guard out of St. Mary’s, checks in at #123 overall and #22 among the combo guards. Fortier has a quick first step, tight handle, and impressive floor vision; all of which makes him one of the better playmaking guards in this class. He does a nice job of letting the game come to him, knows how to keep defenders off balance, and delivers the ball to teammates in positions where they can easily score it. On the other end of the floor, he guards either guard spot, showing a good understanding of angles and a toughness needed to make plays at the point of attack.
