Bastani has a chance to break out after transferring to Northfield Mount Hermon. A big guard that can really shoot the basketball, he does a nice job of getting to his spots on the offensive end of the floor. He can make plays off multiple bounces, is a willing ball mover, and does a nice job of using off ball screens to get open. His calling card is his ability to shoot the ball with range, however, he’s tough in the mid-range and does a nice job of using his length to finish around the rim. Defensively, he provides some versatility with his size and length combo.

Bastani, a product of the west coast who plays his prep ball at New Hampton, is a big time scorer that can get it done at all three levels. The Oakland Soldiers guard had a coming out party this summer, with multiple positive showings at high level events. Bastani has great position size, shows an impressive handle in isolation situations, and can get into his jumper any time he wants. He a scorer that has some craftiness around the rim and can really shoot the ball, particularly from behind the arc. Defensively, he has the ability to guard up a position with his size and length combo and does a good job on the glass. He’ll look to make his mark this winter at New Hampton and long term, should be a prospect to watch at the scholarship level.

He’s a growing guard at 6’4 with good fundamentals. He understands what going on in a game. He has good shooting form and the range to be a quality shot maker from the 3pt line, consistency will be key for this young prospect, he can hit it. He’ll hit 3’s in the corners, come down in transition, and use a screen or two to get open along the perimeter. He has good vision and is a willing passer looking to involve others. His rebounding and scoring should tick up. 3.5 GPA

Right now he’s a 6’4 shooting guard with a long body, and looks like he’ll still growing. He’s a good ball handling guard with vision and passing, that helps bring balance to a prospect with range who can knock down 3ptrs at a good percentage. He has a good upside to his game, we’ll keep an eye on him.
