Saunders is a shifty player who is looking to make the right play for his team every possession. He is great at setting up an offense and making slick passes in tight windows for his teammates to get open shots. Saunders can turn into a spot-up shooter or a shot creator breaking down defenders and hitting step-back and fading away shots. His ability to finish around the rim is how he will get most of his points as he will look for contact so he can get free throw opportunities and slow his opponent down throughout a game.

Saunders plays like a guard and a center at the time in different areas of the court making him a versatile player. He has a good shot from deep and due to his long arms and 6’4″ size can shoot over most defenders. The more shots he makes from deep the further away he will step back on his next shot. His catch-and-shoot ability is excellent off of pick-n-pops. Saunders guards the paint like a center using his long frame to block multiple shots in a game from players looking to drive into the paint.
