a good 3 and D prospect was on full display throughout the course of the Prep Open Tournament. Oliver showcased his ability to efficiently knock down open shots from three point range, be effective in transition as a play finisher, rebound the basketball, and be a versatile defender guarding multiple positions.

As he’s done throughout his senior year, Oliver shined in a glue-guy role on the wing as a perfect complement to his quartet of high-major teammates. He started out hot from the arc, with two first-quarter 3s, but really made his presence felt in the second half with his length and athleticism as a lane-filler and finisher in transition. Oliver is consistently in the right place at the right time to make things happen without needing to have the ball in his hands. He has ideal size for a wing at the next level with the pop and fluidity to match. Finally healthy after struggling with injury throughout his time at Blair, his translatable skillset and egoless approach have him rising up the ranks of available senior wings in the Northeast.

Oliver is a jack of all trades who showcased his versatility. I like the way Oliver runs the floor in transition, he runs like a deer and is all gas no brakes. He showed he could score from behind the arc with three 3 pointers. He uses his length to collect rebounds. Oliver is a bit of a tweener and is stuck between a few positions. He also showed that he is an effective defender and can guard different body types. He added 18 points in the win. Any low major program in need of a versatile wing needs to give a serious eval to Oliver over the remaining course of the season.

did a good job of playing within himself and showcasing a lot of the skillset that makes him an effective and athletic 3&D wing. Oliver was able to knock down open catch and shoot threes, finish athletically at the rim, both in transition and attacking off closeouts as well as use his length and athleticism to be effective on the defensive end of the floor.

, a key contributor for Blair’s rotation, fits the mold of a prototypical athletic 3&D wing, offering good positional size and length as well as a skillset to be an impactful two way player. At 6’6″, Oliver is an improved perimeter shooter and a consistent attacker of the rim mostly off of closeouts. Oliver is also able to contribute running the floor in transition as well as on the offensive glass. Defensively, he brings versatility as a guy that can guard multiple positions, rebound at a high rate for his position, and play the passing lanes really well.
A strong senior season that showcases his two way ability to impact the game on both sides could see his stock rise a little bit before the end of his senior season.

The move to Blair Academy has paid off as Oliver has gone from guy with potential to outright player. A skilled wing who can really score it when he’s feeling it, or can create as a secondary guy, Oliver will likely pick up a number of offers this Spring.

Oliver can score in many different ways on the offensive end. At 6’6″ he can put the ball on the floor and can get to the rim at will. His long arms allow him to get the ball up over smaller players in the paint. Oliver has a quick and high shot that needs very little room to get off. He is excellent in the catch-and-shoot game and will use an effective pump fake on the perimeter to get defenders in the air. He can drive into the paint and will look for contact on his way up to the rim.

Oliver can play every position on the court. His vision is what helps create a lot of space for his offensive game. He can drive into the paint to draw in a double team and kick it out to the open shooter. Oliver has great control of the ball in high-pressure situations and will make the right read when surveying an offense. He will also look for diving teammates looking to get into the paint.

Oliver is an athletically gifted player in the shooting guard position standing at 6’6″. He likes to play fast, especially in the transition setting. Oliver will rise and dunk over anyone standing in his way when he decides to put his head down straight for the rim. He uses his long arms to slither around defenders in the air. Oliver can even play a little in the posted area giving him many different ways in how he can score inside.
