Whiting, a forward out of Vermont Academy, checks in at #49 overall and #5 among the power forwards. Whiting is a high motor forward that does a nice job of playing with energy and impacting games with his effort. He’s an instinctive cutter that uses his length effectively around the rim as a finisher and has done a nice job of developing his perimeter jumper. He can now operate as a hard roller or pop guy out of ball screens. Defensively, he’s a strong rebounder that has great pursuit of the ball, and, with his length and mobility, is capable of guarding up or down a position.
