Griffin has elite handles, keeps the ball on a string to probe the defense for openings to attack, has a variety of moves to shake his defender, using the crossover combos, hesitation, spin-move, and fade-away to create space from his defender, a great burst off the bounce to get by his defender, is effective with the mid-range jumper, and is a crafty scorer around the basket, with the up-and-under, reverse, euro-step, and floater to score over height in the paint. Griffin has great court vision, makes precise passes to open teammates off the drive and kick pass, to the diver out of the pick and roll action, or up the court to open players in transition. Solid on-ball defender with active hands, good timing, and quick movement to deflect passes, jump passing lanes, or poke the ball out to get turnovers and easy offense.

He’s fine tuning his combo guard skills mixing scoring and facilitating the teams offense. He has vision and quality passing, but make no mistake he has the tools to put points on the board with his style of play. He has excellent handles, speed, and change of direction when attacking the rim. Has an improved mid-range game. He’ll get steals, assists, and points.

A crafty guard from the Sacramento Area, continues to showcase himself as one of the top playmakers in the class of 2029. A confident player with quality ball handling, and an ability to put the ball in the basket with decisive moves, and burst that makes it hard to contain him. He’s still sharpening his guard skills. With a full season behind him, he’s a legitimate guard that can produce with ball in hand or off ball attacking angles.

He’s comfortable navigating tight spaces and still making plays at full speed.

And he uses it to get to any desired spot on the floor. When you add in his speed with his handle he’s very difficult for teams the trap and get the ball out of his hands. Around the rim, he finishes naturally with either hand naturally as an ambidextrous would. Griffin’s layup finishes are next level. He’s already showing he can handle things at the varsity level. He’s a confident, quick guard with plenty of ways to break down defenders, get into the paint, and score in traffic. He has the ability to generate buckets and involve others. He changes speeds, has a burst, hits the quick pull-up jumper. He’s hard to stay in front of at times.
