2029 Rankings: Names to Know Top 25 Prospects

PH NorCal Class of 2029 Rankings. These prospects completed their first year of Varsity level basketball. Some were starters, others were key contributors off the bench. All had Impact and are ranked in the top 25 of the 2029 class.    A crafty guard from the Sacramento Area, continues to showcase himself as one of the top playmakers in the class of 2029. A confident player with quality ball handling, and an ability to put the ball in the basket with decisive moves, and burst that makes it hard to contain him. He's still sharpening his guard skills. With a full season behind him, he's a legitimate guard that can produce with ball in hand or off ball attacking angles.     A transfer from Natomas to Monterey Trail where he'll likely have the ball in his hands often up top facilitating, passing and attacking off the dribble, or posting up, coming across the paint, dealing with contact to get paint points. He's active rebounder, willing to battle his size defending the post area. We'll see a versatile productive prospect on both ends.     He's a growing guard/wing, looks like he'll effect the game in different ways using length and footspeed defending different positions, helping rebound, run hard filling lanes for transition buckets. He's an active prospect, a slasher/cutter ball mover. He can handle will drive to the basket along the perimeter unafraid of contact. We've seen him take and make 3's.     It's not easy for incoming Freshman to run a Varsity offense, Johnson has done that. On the job training for the the versatile scoring point guard still sharpening and balancing his overall duties as a point guard. A superb ball handler, vision, creates shot opportunities for himself, while looking to keep others involved. He feeds the post, drive and kicks to shooters for catch 3's. He's got the usual guard finishes, floaters, paint jumpers, he's got a nice short jumper high off the backboard with hands in face.     The 6'8 forward is starting to fill his frame. He's got length, and the tools to play the inside/out game. He's got work to do sharpening and defining his game. He plays from different spots, high post for screening and passing, might use two dribbles to attack the rim. He'll post up on the block turning and powering up, needs to get stronger. He can do things on the perimeter, spot up for 3's in the corners, drive the baseline. Good long strides running the middle, and filling lanes in transition, good upside.
