7p 4r 4b vs New Heights
-Loved the activity and tenacity at the defensive end of the floor as Quinones did a great job of protecting the rim for New Heights in the championship game. Quinones gets off the floor quickly, has great length and athleticism, has great timing for his jumps and usually stays down for shot fakes–but I really loved the “not on my watch” mentality even when the game was out of reach. The forward prospect was on the wrong end of a few tough whistles that led to foul trouble that hampered his aggression with the ball in his hands offensively. But Quinones didn’t let that affect his rebounding down the stretch, earning two trips to the FT line down the stretch that kept the game within reach.
