The space eating forward impressed on the interior with his ability to use his strength to get to spots he was most comfortable operating out of. He was able to connect on frequent scoring chances inside of the two point line. His positioning to come up with rebounds was superb. Adedeji plays with an assertive motor which can be seen throughout the game. He should see a ton of traction from low and mid major division ones over the next several months.

Closing out a junior season that saw him break out as much as any prospect in the state, Adedeji was consistently effective taking advantage of an undersized Imhotep frontcourt, with foul trouble being all that came in his way throughout the night. The junior forward went to work around the basket from the opening whistle, fighting hard for multiple efforts to establish deep position and playing patiently after the catch before finishing with soft touch. His continued emergence as an interior threat was arguably the biggest key toward Judge meeting its lofty expectations coming off PCL and state championships from a year ago. Adedeji has still yet to incorporate his full inside-out arsenal, leaving Judge opponents fearful of what could still be left to come as the calendar now flips toward his senior year.

The height difference between the Judge and Central York lineups was obvious to the entire crowd and Adedeji took full advantage, causing consistent havoc around the basket on his way to a 21-point, 12-rebound double-double to lead the win. The junior forward kept things simple and stuck to what was working, running the floor to establish early position and holding his ground around the rim before demonstrating soft hands and touch as a finisher. He was also consistently effective in clearing the defensive glass. As the game went on, he found opportunities to flash his ball skills as a release valve on catches further away from the basket. It was another effective two-way effort in what’s becoming commonplace for the quickly-ascending frontcourt prospect.

. It wasn’t always pretty, but Adedeji grinded his way to seven points and eight rebounds to help engineer the win. He was effective as a cleanup man inside and even showed some ability to create his own shot out of the post. His rebounding and interior defense were crucial as well and his activity inside was key toward getting Jenkins in early foul trouble. Adedeji continues to trend up as a D1 frontcourt prospect.

One of the bigger stock-risers across this update to the rankings, Adedeji has quickly turned the corner from prospect to player while jumping into the varsity rotation for the first time. After biding his time mostly on JV last year, he’s burst onto the scene as a regular starter for Judge, thriving as the lone consistent frontcourt presence in the Crusaders’ normal rotation. Naturally more of a perimeter-oriented forward, he’s begun effectively incorporating more of an interior game, showing soft hands and getting off the ground quickly to finish in traffic with burgeoning strength. He remains a threat to space the floor out to the arc, with enticing flashes off the dribble that point to considerable upside left to tap into. Still with the potential to reclass back to 2028 given that he won’t turn 17 until the summer, Adedeji is a safe bet to earn traction at the D1 level heading into the spring and summer, with his ultimate ceiling still largely to be determined.

Judge has been known to play through its guards in a pace-and-space attack under coach Chris Roantree, but Adedeji has nonetheless managed to be a clear breakout performer up front in the early going of the season. Mostly a JV piece last year, Adedeji has burst his way into the starting lineup for the Crusaders, turning talent and potential into consistent production at a high level for the first time. While he boasts a natural perimeter skillset as a floor-spacer and faceup driver, he’s really impressed with his growth in using his size and budding strength and athleticism to put pressure on the paint as a roller, crasher, and rim-runner. Adedeji’s ability to punish teams inside while still fitting into Judge’s 5-out attack has been a key development toward both the Crusaders’ quest for a PCL repeat and the blossoming forward’s emergence as a bona fide D1 prospect.

-Adedeji played sparingly in the first half but really gave FJ a HUGE boost in the 2H as an athletic forward prospect that finished well in tight windows around the basket and scored off several putbacks. His presence as a lob target and catch n finish big around the rim unlocks the play-making from FJ’s stable of guards and opens up space for shooters on the perimeter. Loved that he willingly played his role but played within himself, passing out of vulnerable spots or double teams to keep the possession alive/give his teammates a high-percentage look. His athleticism, length, and positional size make him a prospect to know going forward for D1 coaches.

With injuries in Judge’s frontcourt elevating his role in the rotation, Adedeji took full advantage of the opportunity in two runaway wins while displaying the full breadth of his versatile skillset and budding athleticism. While playing nominally at the ‘5’ in an uptempo Crusader attack, Adedeji showed continued development into a modern mismatch forward. He was effective running the floor for explosive finishes in space but also showcased a finetuned skillset in the halfcourt with swift footwork putting the ball down toward the rim. His natural shooting touch out to the perimeter was just the cherry on top. Very young for his grade and still relatively inexperienced, Adedeji is starting to really turn the corner from prospect to player with plenty of upside left to spare.

Adedeji has shown impressive flashes so far this AAU season after transferring into Judge and spending most of the year on JV. Tuesday offered our first extended look at the emerging forward on a varsity level and he looks to be acclimating well with his blend of size, mobility, and skill. In a game that was mostly an uptempo affair, he showed the ability to change ends consistently while thriving as a rim-runner or catching in space and making plays on the move. He’s still slower-twitch, but the body control is consistently impressive. Adedeji has shown himself to be a consistent threat to space the floor as a shooter, giving him a nice floor as a prospect while he begins exploring what’s evidently quite an interesting ceiling.

Adedeji is an athletic and physical prospect who is a dominating interior force at both ends of the court. On offense, Adedeji produces points from the dunker spot, the baseline, and the low blocks. Plus, his length, nose for the ball and quick second jump enable Adedeji to repeatedly crash the offensive glass for pout backs. His ability to power up through contact and then finish with authority is remarkable. Adedeji also does a fantastic job of passing out of double teams to open shooters. Defensively, Adedeji is a beast on the glass and a fierce shot blocker.
