Tyler is a sturdy shot-maker who thrived connecting on shoots from deep throughout the day. He was a mainstay hunting shots off the basketball. Tyler showed some flashes of facilitating finding teammates for scoring chances. Tyler found ways to rebound the ball. He should see some more traction at the low major level during the grassroots season.

It wasn’t the prettiest performance from Judge as a team, but they got it done, and the same could be said for the Crusaders’ junior utility guard. Shaking off a rough start, Tyler delivered his typical blue-collar effort while grinding his way to 16 points with a handful of timely shots. He was effective using his physicality and toughness to outwork opposing guards for loose balls or find his way to buckets around the rim as a cutter. With the game in the balance, he also stepped up to knock down three second-half 3’s. His ability to star in his role is sure to endear itself to college coaches as Tyler attracts scholarship-level attention.

Already an experienced multi-year starter despite being just a junior, Tyler was clearly comfortable in the big-game atmosphere as he scored a crucial 15 points to help lead Judge. The well-built utility guard was key toward keeping the Crusaders within striking distance as he scored 12 of his 15 points in the opening half. Known as a dangerous shotmaker from deep, he knocked down a trio of 3s while also picking up scraps inside the arc using his strength and instincts for the ball. His collection of translatable winning traits make for a safe projection to the scholarship-level when the time comes.

Judge poured it on offensively en route to almost 100 points with a partially running clock, and Tyler was the main culprit as he rained in jumpers throughout the night from all over the floor. On his way to knocking down about a half-dozen 3s, the rising junior showed himself to be a dangerous sniper with consistent mechanics, unwavering confidence, and the IQ to consistently find space for clean looks. He knows where his bread is buttered and mostly sticks to it, but showed the ability to mix it up when appropriate by attacking closeouts off the bounce and finishing strong through contact. A consistent performer who’s contributed to a ton of winning as an underclassmen, Tyler is a scholarship lock who should be consistently on D1 radars over the next year.

The versatile power guard who played with a super high motor, showed off a solid jumper facing the rack, and is already an impact level defender with his well-built frame. Nazir is a dynamic driving ability and playmaking instincts that scream upside as a jumbo-sized, shot-creating wing that comfortable guarding a 2 or a 3 on any given possession.

Running on a K-Low squad that is stacked with DI talent, Tyler stood out because of his shot making ability. Tyler drained threes as well as mid-range jumpers. Off the dribble he knocked down stop-n-pops, runners off the glass and floaters. His shooting touch and quick release were extraordinary. Tyler also used his quick burst and solid frame to push past defenders off one of two dribbles and get to the rim for a lay-in. Plus, this high IQ prospect got into the painted area and then scored or distributed off two feet. Tyler flashed transition scoring skills too.    

This past weekend at 3SSB Session 1 (TX), Tyler was impressive as a combo guard who scored and rebounded. He frequently went coast to coast in the open court for scores and assists. On the fast break Tyler converted through contact at the rim and pulled up for transition threes. His mid-range game also caused issues for opponents as he drained numerous stop-n-pops. Additionally, he blew past defenders in the half-court off the dribble creating opportunities for himself and teammates. His efforts on the defensive end were commendable too, especially his work on the glass. During the 3SSB Session 1 event Tyler posted 9.5 points and 4 rebounds per game while shooting 36% from deep.    

Tyler followed up a solid regular season (9 ppg. & 3 rpg. in 2024-25), by helping to direct Father Judge to the 6A state title. During that run to the 6A state hardware Tyler operated primarily as a facilitator on a stacked FJ roster, but still managed to post 13 points per night. Now this spring, Tyler has flourished as No. 1 / No. 2 scoring option. With his speed, slick handles, and court vision, Tyler is an open court phenom. His ability to weave through the entire defense at full speed before dropping a dime to a teammate or scoring at the rim is impressive. Tyler can also push the rock on the fast break, then stop and pop a three ball. He can hit mid-range pull ups too. Additionally, Tyler is a two-way prospect who provides menacing on-ball defense.        

Tyler has carved out a nice niche over his early high school career as a reliable floor-spacer and decisionmaker, and did more of the same in a workmanlike 14-point effort. The sophomore scoring guard was slow and steady while consistently being in the right spots. He knocked down a pair of momentum-swinging 3s and helped ice the win while converting eight of 10 free throws in the final quarter. He’ll look to begin attracting D1 interest heading into the grassroots season this spring and summer.

Tyler (9 ppg. & 3 rpg. in 2024-25) is a fantastic two-way guard who during the regular season has served as a “glue guy” on a star-studded Father Judge roster. However, during Judge’s journey to the 6A semifinals, Tyler has increased his offensive production to 13 points per night. Highlighting Tyler’s state tourney performances was the 16 points (3 triples) he posted in Judge’s defeat of Hazleton during the quarterfinals. Tyler also recorded 12 points(4 threes) and 3 steals in win over Garnet Valley in the 1^st Round. Tyler excels in the open court as a ball handler and lane filler. His jump shot is automatic in the mid-range and from behind the 3-point arc. Plus, Tyler’s quick first step and elusive handles enable him to create off the dribble for himself and teammates. College coaches will love the suffocating defense Tyler plays for all 94-feet.
