Expert Analysis
Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Hoops Scout
Hayes had a tumultuous freshman season where he went from summer ball with Scott County to Montgomery County to Morgan County and now back to Montgomery. Assuming he settles in at MoCo, JD should have an opportunity to flourish. With his size at 6’7″ and his ability to shoot the ball and attack off the bounce, Hayes could be a matchup nightmare for opponents in the 10th. Certainly a name to keep up with, long term.

If you’re looking strictly at potential, Hayes is one of the tops in this class. Standing 6’7 and confident shooting out to the college three point line, JD has a very high prospect ceiling. While he needs to add some bulk to his wiry frame, Hayes is going to have a chance to be a big time difference maker for Montgomery County, long term.

at Montgomery County, Hayes should be able to develop as a role player this season. His spot at 31 is a place holder for now and JD could be a much higher ranked player in the next update.
