Avery has taken on the role of lead guard and main facilitator of the Giants leading the team in assist. Avery has been the head of the snake for this Giants team in many ways and if they want to make a deep run once again, he will have to continue to do so.

Avery did not play in the first game of the season when we watched Ben Davis play Fishers. However, the senior point guard suited up on Saturday night and posted 9 points and 8 assists for Ben Davis in a 57-52 loss to Greenfield-Central. He has always impressed as a dynamic playmaker with the physicality necessary to play through contact on the perimeter. Look for him to continue to play a big role in the absence of Zackery.
