Lucas saved his best for the playoffs and delivered in spectacular fashion. Dropping a season high 20 points, he set the tone from tip off, attacking the lane with swagger and finishing at the rim with power and finesse. Every time Falcon tried to rally, Lucas answered, keeping Mesa in control all night. He bullied the boards, snatching tough offensive rebounds and turning them into momentum shifting putbacks that lifted his team. When the game hung in the balance, he made the play of the night with a thunderous, jaw dropping block that slammed the door shut and sent the crowd into a frenzy

Lucas’s role changed a bit in his Senior season as his teammates have filled in around him, but he’s been his same dominant self. He’s been the team’s enforcer and inside presence and has been steady for the entire year. He’s up to 11.5 points and 6.2 rebounds a game. While his offense has shifted in each game, he takes what the defense gives him, is aggressive, and gets to his spots. Lucas also runs the floor and finishes over the top of defenses as a rim runner. His work on the glass gives him easy scoring opportunities and also second-chance points. He’s been the glue guy for the team and has helped them get off to a stellar start to the season. Now it’s time to finish strong.

Lucas steps into a role as the team’s top starter this season, and all eyes will be on him to carry the scoring load, but to also be a two-way force that has his way down low. He has good size as a 6’5 forward that attacks the paint, gets the ball inside, and takes advantage of slower bigs. He moves well, finishes at the basket, and runs the floor for easy finishes. He’s also a rebounder who goes right up, keeps plays alive, and defends as well. This will be a year that a ton is asked of him, and I think he steps up to the plate. He makes a rise in the rankings this go round.

leads his team despite what the scoreboard says, which speaks volumes to his demeanor on and off the hardwood. Lucas makes emphatic cuts to the basket and threads through defenses for buckets. Good luck scoring on Lucas, because his quickness and wingspan allow him to tally up plenty of steals.

Lucas is a powerful forward who plays even bigger than his listed height. He averaged 11.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 steals a game as a junior and impressed with his motor and explosiveness. He’s tough to slow down, finishes well through contact, and thrives in the paint. Lucas has soft touch on his jumper and hits the midrange consistently. He also gets to the free throw line at a high clip and embraces physical play. He’s solid and will be making a big jump in the rankings.

fits perfectly on a loaded 7070 squad that oozes talent. Towards the end of day 2, after a long day of games, Lucas was able to show up and show out against a tough Rise Above squad from Canada. Lucas puts an emphasis on attacking the basket and elevating with defenders to earn trips to the free throw line. Rebounding comes second nature to Lucas, who always crashes the glass.

Lucas is definitely one player you won’t want to miss. His offensive game really stands out and makes him nearly unguardable when he has the ball. The first thing you notice about him, especially at 6’5″, is how quick he is on the court. He can drive the lane and finish strong at the rim, and his long arms make it easy for him to grab offensive boards. But the real highlight of his game is the eurostep he can put on any defender. Then when he’s around the hoop, Lucas is just a natural finisher. I’m excited to see how his defense develops this offseason, but I’m also curious to see what new offensive moves he adds to his game. He’s already dangerous, and he’s only going to get better

Lucas leapt into the scene with 7070, grabbing numerous rebounds on either end of the floor. There are few forwards who are as physical as him down low, active drawing fouls down low in the paint. Additionally a high motor rebounder from both ends of the floor, he feasted on second chance opportunities, willing to go up through contact when necessary. His physicality will be especially helpful for Mesa Ridge, who looks to continue their reign within the 5A level. His continued growth along the perimeter will be essential to rounding out his offensive abilities, although he has a great baseline of talent centered around the rim.

A major riser from this past month, Lucas who is now attending Mesa Ridge, came into this club season without many eyes on him. A notably strong forward who looks to leverage his wiry frame for finishes around the rim. Bringing in a very high motor, he routinely secured rebounds versus taller and stronger opponents, thanks to his constant hustle once the shot goes up. Unfazed by incoming contests or hard fouls, Lucas will go up through the opponent regardless of the repercussions. His continued progression as a perimeter shotmaker will be imperative to rounding out his offensive game, although he is already at a highly productive baseline.

Lucas repeatedly got into the paint, leveraging his strength advantage to draw fouls or straight up move around opposing defenders. His motor and strength was pivotal to 7070’s success down the stretch, bringing a chip and competitive edge even against much taller defenders.
