Expert Analysis
Bobby Lopez | Prep Hoops Scout
Myles has been Mesa Ridge’s top performer over the last month, hitting double figures in six straight games, including three double doubles. He dominates inside, using his length, footwork and technique to score efficiently and secure rebounds on both ends. Myles’ consistent inside presence sets the tone for his team, controlling the paint and creating extra possessions. His ability to impact games with scoring and rebounding makes him a crucial player for Mesa Ridge as they push deeper into the playoffs

Mesa Ridge is sitting at an impressive 14-5 record on the season and is in 1st place in the conference right now. They have balance, bigs who are willing to work, and they battle on both ends of the floor. Their leading scorer is 6’2 forward, Eligah, and he’s a name who deserves more praise than he’s getting. He’s averaging 11.6 points and 7.6 rebounds a game which is nothing to scoff at. He battles on the glass, protects the paint, runs the floor and finishes. He’s also willing to dive for loose balls and be the effort guy if needed. He’s really upped his game as he’s gotten into league play and is coming off of a game where he finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds in a close game against Palmer on insane efficiency. He’s a prospect who should be getting a bit more attention.

Myles brings the energy every possession and he’s scrappy, fights for everything, and finds ways to impact the game while putting points on the board. He could expand his game by sharpening his perimeter shooting to complement his hustle plays, making him even harder to guard at The Expo. Developing a more consistent handle to create his own looks and opening up playmaking opportunities for teammates would round out his style. If he continues to combine his grit with more polish on the offensive end, he’ll stand out as a complete difference maker

Miles may be undersized for his role, but Mesa Ridge continues to find high motor names who do the dirty work on both ends of the floor. Leading Mesa Ridge in rebounds per game (5.7), the forward is rarely content once the shot goes up, always moving to generate better positioning.
