Expert Analysis
Ryan Schmidt | Prep Hoops Scout
Ibrahim El-Amin is a lightning quick, speedy five-foot-ten-inch guard from Minnetonka. The Skippers are loaded with guards, they have four exceptional ones who on lesser teams would demand considerable shots to carry their teams every game. Scoring 13.9 point a game, El-Amin has shown when needed he can give his team a burst (27 vs Hopkins, 29 vs Shakopee). Ibo is tough to guard off the bounce, and is an exceptional catch and shoot jump shooter.

is a five-foot-ten-inch quick, speedy guard that is averaging 15 points per game for the Skippers. Ibo’s speed and quickness has made him a very good shot creator, especially when the game is in its final moments and the Skippers need a bucket. From baseline to baseline Ibo gets up the court in a hurry. Despite his size El-Amin is no slouch, he battles on the perimeter and inside. The 2023 Senior is still uncommitted

son of famous Minneapolis North guard Khalid really brings me back to when I was young watching Khalid lead North and then UCONN. Their games seem so similar right down to the confidence that no matter what is happening, they’ll bring their team to victory. El-Amin’s spot-up jump shooting is really key to his game part of the speed at which he plays. Scoring 20 points versus DeLaSalle the 2023 uncommitted Senior really put pressure throughout.

is a five-foot-ten-inch guard from Minnetonka. Ibo plays the game with speed and quickness. Ibo keeps opponents on their toes as if they’re not ready he’ll blow past with the dribble or fire from thecon outside. El-Amin goes to his bag mostly off the ball as a secondary guard. Dribble pull-up, face-up catch and shoot, and dribble pentatration.

Even while missing some time in the second half after coming down awkwardly, Ibo put up some impressive scoring numbers against Totino-Grace. He’s one of those players who becomes nearly impossible to stop if his shot is falling in any given game. Ibo is such a gifted shot creator who can pick his spots anywhere in the half-court and get to them. Even against the length of TG he was able to get wherever he wanted to on the floor, elevate, and knock down contested jumpers like there was no one there. With so much talent around him Ibo is able to get into a lot of isolation settings which is a scary thought for opposing defenses heading into his senior season.
