A 3-and-D wing who can make shots from the outside, Goodman has a lot of the skills that college programs look for in shooting guards and wings. With his length, defensive activity and ability to hit shots from the perimeter, I’m honestly surprised Concord is the only program to offer Goodman. We’ll see if any new programs come calling late about Goodman as he passes the eye test and has the production to match. I’m honestly surprised more schools haven’t prioritized Goodman in the recruiting process.

College programs are always looking for 3-and-D wings and few are better than Goodman at that role. I expect a big 2023-24 season for Olentangy Berlin with Goodman helping lead the charge. Expect more scholarship Division II and NAIA programs to come calling.

The main piece of the puzzle for Olentangy Berlin has to be Goodman who was sensational on Wednesday for a team that ran through the competition in session one. Goodman was making an impact defensively with his length, making smart transition passes and hitting open shots. A class above most of the other players at the camp, many of the scholarship programs made it a priority to catch his team as much as possible at the event. Goodman’s stock continues to rise and it shouldn’t take long before more scholarship offers come his way.

One of the key pieces to one of Midwest Basketball Club Gold squads, Goodman has been a steady performer all spring with his shot-making ability from the outside. 3-and-D wings are so valuable in college basketball and few match that description better than Goodman. When you combine that with his ability to produce during both the high school and grassroots seasons against tough competition and you get a scholarship level prospect who can fit with a variety of styles of play at the next level. Expect Goodman to receive interest in June playing for Olentangy Berlin, he still has team camp stops at Otterbein and Ohio Dominican before he wraps up the month at Midwest Live in Sandusky.

Goodman appears to be one of the top Division II and NAIA targets in Ohio’s 2024 class and looked like a 3 and D specialist at that level in the game I recently saw of his. Very few players are as good at running off screens, catching and turning his body to launch from distance than Goodman. His positional size is impressive, and his wingspan allows him to make an impact defensively. While I saw some ball handling flashes, including a drive on

after the Marysville big was switched onto him. That play was the most space Goodman created with his handle all game but did show his ability to beat a switch to the basket. Once non-Division I programs really start to prioritize the 2024 class, we’ll see Goodman start to receive lots of interest and offers, he already holds one offer from recent NAIA national champion Shawnee State.

Goodman had an impressive summer for Nova-Turner where he showed his elite 3-point shooting ability from the wing. Goodman has also improved as an athlete and already holds an offer from recent NAIA national champions Shawnee State. Olentangy Berlin is a program on the rise with the leadership of Goodman and some other returning pieces, they could have their best season in the school’s short history this winter.

Goodman is a specialist in the best way as his shooting ability at his size is rare. Most non Division I programs don’t offer players until the spring headed into their senior year but recent NAIA champion Shawnee State already pulled the trigger on Goodman. I love Goodman’s ability to move off the ball and his size and length gives him the potential to improve as a defender throughout his college career. Goodman should get the opportunity to expand his on-ball game with Olentangy Berlin this winter and gear up for the crucial spring/summer headed into a prospect’s senior season.
