Collins’ length and ability to affect the game defensively with his shot blocking and shot altering skills is a major strength as he continues to evolve as a player. Other strengths for the bouncy 6-foot-7 forward include running the floor, finishing breakouts with a dunk and a solid mid-range game. The lanky combination forward needs to put on weight and get stronger, but his activity on both ends of the court are big plusses. As a sophomore for WIAA Division 4 state champion Milwaukee Juneau, Collins averaged 8.5 points and 6.0 rebounds as a starter for the Pioneers.

Corey has had some really nice games this season for Juneau, and with his blend of length, athleticism, and activity around the rim, he’s a player that could hurt Regis. We’ve seen a lot of teams struggle to hit outside shots at the Kohl Center, which could lead to a plenty of put-back chances for Corey if opponents fail to put a body on him. In the games I’ve watched this season Corey excels at stepping in from the dunker spot, can impact games as a rim protector, and finishes with efficiency around the rim.

Collins is a long wing forward who will need to add weight and strength to his frame over the next three years. That is a likely scenario for the skilled prospect, who played key minutes for coach Aaron Spiering off the bench in both of Milwaukee Juneau’s games at the WBY Shootout. Collins tossed in five points and a triple in the loss to Dominican, and then played but failed to score in a low-scoring setback to Marquette. On the season, Collins is averaging 3.0 ppg and 2.5 rpg for the Pioneers.
