. McClenic showed some really good things over the back half of the spring, including some big games on the NXT PRO circuit and a few standout performances at Phenom Hoops events. When I saw him, the flashes were always evident, it’s just about the consistency and motor for him to reach his ceiling.

leads off this list of underclassmen who have an exciting future. He was a bright spot in a difficult season for the Vikings and had a few nice performances against some elite region competition. One such performance was an 18-point game the second time around against Ridge View, where he led his team while shooting 7-8 from the field. Along with putting a team-high 11.6 points per game, McClenic was also Spring Valley’s most productive rebounder at 8.0 rebounds per game. He showed some flashes of other improved skills in his sophomore season, but two areas for him to work on in the summer would be three-point shooting and shot blocking.

. Despite looking physically raw at times, McClenic’s motor and mobility helped him play a role off the bench for the Vikings and are an intriguing combination for him down the line. Christopher had multiple active cuts for right-handed layups as well as a mobile finish through a foul. His length also helps him impact shots and control the glass on defense. McClenic went for 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 block in a win over Spartanburg.
