I was at Reese’s last career high school game last night as his team fell to their rival in a competitive playoff atmosphere. Reese is one of my favorite small college guards because of his ability to attack a closeout with burst and change of pace with the ball in his hands. A good shooter from the outside as well, teams need to run Reese off the line or he could get hot and change the game with his outside shooting ability. Reese has been prioritized by the OAC with offers from Otterbein, Capital, Ohio Northern, Heidelberg and Muskingum just from that conference alone. I project Reese to be an instant impact player at the Division III level for whichever program is lucky enough to land him.

Reese was as hot as any player I’ve seen in this fall league from 3-point range as his outside shooting ability gave his team a cushion in a crucial game between teams near the top of the standings. Reese has been highly pursued by tons of Division III programs, claiming a new offer pretty much every day you log into twitter. Look out for Reese this winter as Westerville North builds on an impressive 2021-22 season.

Reese has been one of the top scorers week after week in the fall league for one of the top teams. Reese is incredibly shifty with the ball in his hands and tough to stop once he gets by the initial defender. Reese is also deadly from downtown as he’s able to knock down spot-up or off the bounce 3-pointers at a high percentage. Currently Reese is highly pursued by Division III programs with scholarship programs showing interest as well.

Reese had a great spring for Mid Ohio Pumas Ballinger as he proved to me that his scoring talent is going to work at the next level. Reese has a functional handle which allows him to create space for himself and is honestly really similar to Hardy, the player profiled above. Reese is bigger and a better outside shooter but not quite the athlete and doesn’t have the quickness that Hardy has, so some clear differences in their game. Reese had a really quality Junior season for Westerville North and they’ve become a sleeper candidate this winter with a solid core of returners.
