Korpela made the long trek from Ashland to Appleton to compete at The Expo against players from all over the state. That alone should give you and indication of how much he loves the game and likes to compete. His lack of size was a factor at times as he went up against backcourt players with several inches on him. But he also battled his way to loose balls and buried some deep three-point shots. Korpela was a key player for a very successful JV1 team at Ashland last season and figures to work his way into the varsity playing rotation in 2025-26.
