It would feel incomplete to not include all four of the Wyoming seniors in this article, as they all played crucial roles on Friday and throughout the four years this core group wore the Cowboys uniform. Billingsley had a handful of putback layups in this contest, finishing with a 20 point, 12 rebound double-double performance. While this is the end of the ride for the core four seniors at Wyoming and they’ll go out on top, Billingsley and Wiley will team up at Ashland University next season.

Another prospect who has been on the radar for a long time and really taking that big leap as a senior. Typically with bigs you see them take longer to make the impact on varsity compared to their guard counterparts but Billingsley was polished at a young age with soft touch around the rim, a big frame and a high basketball IQ. What’s changed for Billingsley in the past 9 months is his body looks completely different and he’s much more explosive of an athlete. Really impressed with the work he’s put in for a Wyoming team that’s got state title aspirations after falling short in the state final four last year.

One of the most improved players in the state, the light has turned on for Billingsley and he is set to dominate during his senior season. With excellent feet for a prospect his size, Billingsley has impressive end to end speed and can change directions while moving off the ball to get free from the defense. The work Billingsley has done to improve his body is a key reason why he’s made such a significant jump and is due for a rankings bump during our next update.

It was tough picking a second Wyoming player to feature but I eventually went with Billingsley who punished smaller teams in the paint this weekend. Billingsley got fouled a couple times in the game I caught as his size can really bother guard heavy teams. Combine that with soft touch on post moves and a crisp offense that gets him easy looks in the half-court and Billingsley plays well off the three headed monster in the backcourt that Wyoming boasts.

We’ve written a ton about Wyoming’s talented 2026 class and Billingsley might be the most important piece to their teams success because he is the physical presence in the paint, the leading rebounder and interior scorer for the Cowboys. I’ve been impressed with how Billingsley has continued to work on his body and be able to defend in space this summer. Look for Wyoming to attract a large crowd of college coaches at midwest live as they’ll be looking to scout Billingsley and a few of his teammates this weekend.

I’ve been impressed with the physical development Billingsley has shown recently, losing some weight and looking more nimble when he gets caught on the perimeter as a defender. Even after losing some weight, Billingsley is still a big force in the paint and was simply too big and too strong numerous times at the rim where he used his soft hands to catch, pivot and score in traffic. After making a regional title and final four the past two seasons, this is one final ride for the Wyoming seniors who have the talent to win the whole thing this coming season.

Billingsley is an old-school physical player with great size and strength for the forward position. He is a nice athlete that allows him to move and run the floor well, but he does his scoring and impact on the game around the rim. He finishes strong and towards the rim. He has a good leaping ability that he showed off in a quick vertical dunk. He is a great player to have in the dunker position. He is active on the glass. He defends really well with his chesting-up ability. He is physical but does not foul. Impactful on both sides of the floor.

The time is now for Cincinnati Wyoming after falling short of a state title in the semifinals, the pieces are in place for one last run to lift the trophy. Billingsley is the big man in the middle for the Cowboys and I’ve been impressed with his progression as a mover in space and getting up and down the floor with the fast paced guards that the Cowboys have. for Midwest Cincy MHC is also beneficial for the trio that has impressive chemistry together. Billingsley was fifth in the Cincinnati Hills League in rebounding and led the conference in FG%, which tell you the type of player you are getting in the paint. I expect Billingsley to be a priority recruit for small college programs who are always searching for size.
