Waynesville went on an incredible 22 game win streak to advance all the way to the regional finals with a talented group. Sesslar has a quick change of direction with the ball in his hands and plays with real juice when attacking off the dribble. I was impressed with how Sesslar played against talented athletes on Summit Country Day in the regional title game, earning him a spot in our rankings.

After winning 22 straight games, Waynesville’s historic season comes to an end in the regional title game. Sesslar had some bright moments for his team on Saturday afternoon, using his quickness to get to his spots and knocking down a couple mid-range jumpers. To open the second half Waynesville went on a 8-0 run to cut the lead to 4 and it was off two assists by Sesslar and a mid-range jumper. End of an impressive high school career for Sesslar who was named SWBL Buckeye player of the year.

A rhythm shooter, Sesslar got to his spots in the mid-range and was knocking down contested shots. Sesslar also has expanded his range with a few spot-up 3-pointers, showing his ability to stretch the floor. Waynesville returns both Sesslar and Lucas Rocha, two double digit scorers from last season, looking to build on a 16 win season that tied their most since 2019.

An undersized guard, Sesslar packs a lot of punch off the dribble with quickness and shiftiness. Able to finish with either hand at the rim, Sesslar also was able to use the dribble-drive game to set up his teammates with kickouts to shooters. He had one of the best passes I saw all day with a no-look dime as well. Overall strong performance from Sesslar on the offensive end.
