Weeresinghe and Schuller are competing for best shooter on Dexter Southfield, and both of them have a case. Weeresinghe just transferred in from Newton South and looks to be a burgeoning wing with lots of interesting skills. Aside from stroking it, the 6-foot-3 wing is a phenomenal off ball cutter and screener who really understands how to move and play as part of a system. He’s going to be a really nice role player for Dexter, and he also seems to be quickly developing as an athlete — he almost has a put back dunk yesterday that I didn’t know he had in his bag.
