The Babson commit had a second half to remember gathering a double double after a slow start. He has really improved his physicality/strength since last year. Defense stood out playing against 6’7″ and 6’10” players as he walled them up, contested without fouling around the rim and perimeter. He had a few assists but the stat sheet didn’t account for his perfect interior passing skills and kick outs. He has certainly climbed spots on my personal rankings.

Dudley, out of the Dexter Southfield School in Massachusetts, checks in at #29 among the shooting guards and #132 overall. Dudley has good size on the perimeter, shows an understanding of how to play within the flow of an offense, and utilizes a versatile skillset on both ends of the floor. The 6’4″ guard is a consistent shooter from behind the arc, but has impressed with his ability to make plays off the bounce this season. Defensively, he’s a solid rebounder for his position and is capable of guarding three positions. He will continue his academic and athletic careers at Babson.

Dudley makes his first appearance in the New England rankings at #200. The Dexter Southfield School guard is a crafty finisher that does a nice job of attacking gaps in the defense to get to his spots. The lefty can knock down shots in catch and shoot situations, attacks bad closeouts regularly, and has the ability to make some nice passes on the move. He does a good job of seeing the floor in transition and takes care of the basketball. On the other end, he can guard either back-court spot and isn’t afraid to give up his body to make winning plays.

Dudley was one of the better athletes present at Brandeis and consistently used his big body and physicality to move defenders off their spot. On drives to the rim, he keeps his line very well and is able to shuck defenders off of him like it’s nothing, though he could work on improving his touch at the rim. He’s a capable three point shooter, but not amazing. Most impressive is his passing ability; he always makes the right read and has so much pace on his passes to teammates, so he’s a super effective ball mover and role guy. He should get good minutes this year for Dexter Southfield and will find a D3 fit somewhere after that.

Dudley is a 6-foot-4 lefty who is really tough to stop when he gets a head of steam in transition. He’s strong, athletic and has really good body control and footwork; he had a couple beautiful eurosteps and multiple tough finishes off the glass at weird angles. Oh, and he cuts very effectively off the ball and attacks closeouts with decisiveness. He can also shoot it from three and defends with great toughness and strength. Dudley should be a key piece for Dexter Southfield next season and will absolutely find a D3 fit and make a coach very happy with his well rounded game.

A reclass Junior with an extra year of development coming from basketball hub of Needham. Attacks the boards aggressively fighting for rebounds especially on the offensive for extra possessions. Finishes through contact and other ways on the floor. Guards smaller players which is a great attribute. Smart defensively understanding team defensive strategies whether to switch and when to blitz scorers.

Alex is a skilled player, and a three level scorer. He can score at the rim, and from the outside. He has a variety of finishing moves around the rim and is able to finish with both hands. He is a good defender, and can guard multiple positions. I think this could be a big stock rising year for Alex.
