With an improving skillset that’s seeing him sharpening the ways he finds to score the ball and hopefully some big scoring performances throughout the course of the season, Spencer could see his stock rise before the end of his senior year.

Spencer has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. The 6’2″ guard is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. Spencer has a solid handle and is an underrated passer.

Spencer can spread the floor out for his team with his shooting game from downtown. He has a high and quick release with long arms at 6’2″ making it a tough task for a defender to get a hand up. His ability to knock down shots in catch-and-shoot situations is what helps his teammates get open looks from other areas on the floor. Spencer crashes the glass well and makes accurate outlet passes on the fastbreak.

Spencer applies pressure on the defensive side of the ball every single possession picking up offensive players full court throughout a game the second the ball is tipped. Spencer will look to wrap around a ball handler to poke the ball from behind. He can shoot the passing lanes like a free safety in football and can even block shots on the perimeter or in transition situations.

Spencer has a smooth high arcing shot to his game. He can shoot over most defenders standing at a tall 6’2″ giving him the advantage almost every game. Spencer has a strong upper body that he uses to get into the heart of the lane. He even uses that strength to play elite defense putting a body onto ball handlers. He is excellent in transition whenever he gets a steal making smart basketball plays. I see no reason why Spencer won’t have a breakout season next year.
