The Marauders are turning over a new leaf this season while almost all of its scoring from last year’s state runner-up team, with Lockhart among a core of underclassmen that will be asked to step into important roles. A versatile forward with an advanced frame for his age, Lockhart came off the bench and impressed with his two-way contributions on the margins. He’ll bring immediate value to the SPP lineup as a defensive lynchpin in the frontcourt with the ability to switch across almost any matchup given his blend of size, strength, and mobility. His offensive arsenal is still coming together at the varsity level but he shows a strong foundation as a floor-spacer off the catch with flashes making plays off the dribble. It’s obviously still early, but with multiple D1 hoopers in his household, Lockhart looks like a clear candidate to follow in the family footsteps when his time comes.
