About Anthony
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a guard at St. Ignatius (OH) with a strong work ethic and a team-first mentality. I take pride in being a tough, high-IQ player who competes on both ends of the floor. Offensively, I can create my own shot, knock down shots from mid-range and three, and make smart decisions with the ball. I’m comfortable handling pressure and setting up teammates, but I also know when to attack and score.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I bring a competitive mindset to the court every time I play. I’m confident in my abilities, but I’m always looking to improve and push myself to be better.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
St. Ignatius Scholar achieved a 97 / 100 on the entrance exam to earn a scholarship.
Outside of basketball, I am also a quarterback for the St. Ignatius football team. I have volunteered for the St. Ignatius Summer Enrichment Programs as camp counselor, Christmas Food Drives helping families in need at Christmas time.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Playing both basketball and football has helped me develop strong leadership and teamwork skills. As a quarterback, I’ve learned how to stay composed under pressure, communicate effectively, and bring out the best in my teammates. That same mentality carries over to basketball, where I take pride in being a leader on the court. Outside of sports, serving the community and leading by example.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Balancing two sports, academics, and community service has been a challenge, but it’s taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay focused on my goals. No matter what obstacles come my way, I embrace them as opportunities to get better.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I want to be part of a highly competitive basketball program where I can continue to develop my game, contribute to a winning culture, and push myself to reach my full potential.
Academically, I’m looking for a school that offers strong support for student-athletes and provides opportunities for growth.
