Saint Ignatius is one of the toughest defensive teams in Ohio and Jones is their best defensive player. Flying around the court for incredible blocks and also locking down ball handlers at the point of attack, Jones is causing havoc no matter where he is defensively. I also was encouraged by Jones knocking down two time and space 3-pointers. Jones also made a couple nice live dribble passes to teammates.

One of the most athletic wings in Ohio, Jones is an impactful two-way wing who showed some intriguing flashes as a ball handler and creator. Taking a major leap in offensive role this winter, Jones will be looked to create offense in the half-court for Saint Ignatius with a younger team around him. Jones can also simply score over smaller defenders in the paint and overpowered the defense multiple times throughout the day. Defensively, Jones had a blocked shot that he put against the backboard to help jump start a fast break. Expect Jones to consistently make highlight plays this winter for one of the best teams in Ohio.

Jones was very impressive for Ohio Champion during Midwest Mania as their team has defeated a handful of circuit programs without taking a loss. Jones is a talented athlete who defends multiple positions, attacks with aggressiveness to the basket without being out of control and makes a big impact in transition. Jones is also shooting the ball with more confidence and could be the go-to option for Saint Ignatius this winter after their 2025 star duo of

I have to give a lot of props to Ohio Champion 17 U as they went 4-0 on the weekend beating three Made Hoops Circuit teams and a Pro 16 team as well. I caught one of their Saturday games where Jones was an x-factor with his athleticism on both ends of the court. I was really impressed with Jones ability to get to the paint and how he was changing speeds and directions off the dribble and being tough to stay in front. His athleticism changes the game on both ends due to his ability to make an impact defensively either on the ball or as a help side defender and also push the pace in transition to either score himself at the rim or draw in defenders so a shooter can take advantage from 3-point range. I was impressed with Ohio Champion 17 U as a group while Jones was the most intriguing prospect from their team and should get some more Division I looks during live periods.

Jones came out the gates hot by scoring 7 first quarter points for Saint Ignatius with baskets off BLOB sets, drives and a spot-up 3-pointer. I also loved the activity of Jones, flying around the court defensively and getting his hands on a bunch of loose balls. Felt like Jones was around the basketball all game and consistently impacted the game in a positive way for Saint Ignatius.

One of the more versatile wings in Ohio’s 2026 class, Jones can defend a variety of positions with his size, frame and quick feet. Offensively, Jones has progressed throughout the season on varsity and taken steps as a live dribble passer. If Jones can start to knock down 3-point shots off the catch he will be even tougher to guard as Saint Ignatius looks to go back-to-back this season.
