The 6-0 Winneconne product has burst on the scene, this summer, showing out at tournaments, in both Wisconsin and Minnesota, where Van Allen’s athleticism, speed, and length have been on full display.

One of the more active defenders, that I have watched, Van Allen has caused nightmares for whomever he has guarded due to his length and anticipation. Offensively, he has also shown a complete game consistently knocking down mid to long-range jumpers and has been a force on the glass. As I have previously mentioned, I expect Van Allen to have a big role for the Winneconne this fall.

Van Allen’s athleticism, speed, and length were on full display, on Friday, and he stood out as one of the better players at The Tune Up. When not crashing the offensive glass, or diving on the floor, the 6-0 Winneconne product was knocking down outside jumpers and harassing whomever he was guarding resulting in multiple steals. With seven graduating seniors, I expect Van Allen to have a big role for the Wolves this fall.

A lengthy shooting guard Van Allen showed off a variety of skills on Sunday afternoon, starting with a nice stop and pop jumper in the paint in the first half. Van Allen’s shooting ability was on full display knocking down three-pointers with ease throughout the contest. At 5’11 Van Allen uses his size and length on the defensive side of the ball to disrupt opponents and come away with the steal, while also using his speed to get to the rack on offense.
