1. Seymour -- Defending Bay Conference champion Seymour won 28 of 30 outings last winter and finished second in the WIAA Division 3 State Tournament, dropping a 61-41 decision to Racine St. Catherine's in the title game. The Thunder lost three starters to graduation, including Kyler Marks (6-4), who scored 1,742 points during his stellar prep career with the Thunder. Coach Bobby Kuchta welcomes back one of the top scorers/rebounders in the league in UW-Eau Claire recruit [player_tooltip player_id='2508494' first='Isaac' last='Feske'] (6-3), who averaged 15 ppg and 7 rpg as a junior. Feske and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2615539' first='Jordan' last='Krause'] (6-0) started a year ago while juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2508496' first='Teage' last='Cornell'] (5-10) and [player_tooltip player_id='2508497' first='Greg' last='Salzman'] (5-10) played big roles off the bench for the Thunder. Cornell, Salzman and senior [player_tooltip player_id='3022126' first='Kessler' last='Jansen'] (6-0) figure to battle for starting spots alongside Feske and Krause. Perimeter shooting and familiarity with Kuchta's system are assets for Seymour, which must overcome lack of varsity experience from its reserves.

2. Fox Valley Lutheran -- Other teams in the Bay might have more star power than the Foxes, but no team in the nine-team circuit can match the FVL in terms of depth. In addition to the return of three starters and a key reserve, newcomers from JV1 and JV2 teams that finished a combined 41-3 give coach Tommy Stelter the deepest squad in the league. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2381575' first='Braden' last='Heiges'] (6-0) and [player_tooltip player_id='2811197' first='Wyatt' last='Schlueter'] (6-2) along with junior [player_tooltip player_id='2811198' first='Cael' last='Loberger'] (6-1) are returning starters from a club that went 16-10. Joining that talented trio as a key returning player is senior [player_tooltip player_id='2381590' first='Ezra' last='Schaser'] (6-0). Newcomers who figure to be in contention for starting roles include sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2403310' first='Isaiah' last='Burleton'] (6-3) and juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2452163' first='Isaiah' last='Thompson'] (6-2) and [player_tooltip player_id='3574285' first='Noah' last='Mayer'] (6-2). FVL boasts an athletic team that plays well in transition. The Foxes figure to find out exactly where they stand early in the season as FVL opens with games against McFarland and Freedom, two teams that will contend for WIAA state championships in 2026-27.

3. Xavier -- Four-year varsity performer [player_tooltip player_id='2434543' first='Logan' last='Ramczyk'], a NCAA Division II recruit for Northern Michigan, headlines the list of returning players for the Hawks. Ramczyk (6-2) averaged 23.4 ppg as a junior and enters his senior season with 1,376 points. He can make shots from the perimeter, get to the basket off the dribble and in put up points transition while also proving to be a solid defender and excellent rebounder (8.1 rpg). Joining Ramczyk as returning starters for coach Matt Klarner are seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2509443' first='Caden' last='Schuler'] (6-2) and [player_tooltip player_id='2961788' first='Quinn' last='Comerford'] (6-1). Both averaged around 9 ppg as juniors and both have multiple years of varsity experience, giving the Hawks one of the more veteran teams in the Bay. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2961792' first='Osaze' last='Fournillier'] (6-2) and [player_tooltip player_id='2961793' first='Kolbe' last='Donnermeyer'] (5-11) will play key roles along with juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2961794' first='Ben' last='Kappell'] (6-3) and [player_tooltip player_id='3189481' first='Owen' last='Hermes'] (5-11). Sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='3477174' first='Porter' last='Meach'] (6-3) and [player_tooltip player_id='2882751' first='Grayson' last='Schuler'] (6-0) could also factor into the mix for the Hawks.

4. Winneconne -- Led by the impressive all-around play of sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2436991' first='Drew' last='Lenz'] (5-11), Winneconne again looks to push the ball, score in transition and make a bunch of three-point shots. That formula helped the Wolves win 17 games a year ago with Lenz, the state's No. 8-ranked prospect in the 2029 class, leading the way by averaging 19.2 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 5.5 apg. Lenz, though, is the lone returning starter for coach John Flanigan. Junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='3022982' first='Aaron' last='Zimmer'] (6-3), a standout baseball player, came off the bench to average 3.7 ppg and 3.8 rpg and he figures to be Winneconne's top inside threat due to his length, athleticism and strength. Omro transfer [player_tooltip player_id='3580199' first='Henry' last='Chase'], a 6-foot-0 sophomore guard, and Flanagan's son, freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2643964' first='Nolan' last='Flanigan'] (6-0), will play big roles alongside Lenz in the backcourt. Sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='2957446' first='Aiden' last='Van Allen'] (6-0) and [player_tooltip player_id='3703690' first='Jack' last='Busching'] (6-1) also will contend for playing time for a young but extremely competitive group.

5. Menasha -- The Bluejays enter the season with a very optimistic outlook as coach Paul Mattek returns four of five starters and a couple of key role players from a team that went 9-17. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140980' first='Tayden' last='Wilke'] (5-10) has played varsity basketball since his freshman year and averaged 16.0 ppg and 3.7 rpg as a junior. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2907315' first='Levi' last='Miller'] (6-2) and Shamir Seynange (6-0) tossed in 9.6 ppg and 11.1 ppg, respectively, while sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2403308' first='Xavier' last='John'] (6-0) also returns to the starting rotation after averaging 4.0 ppg and 3.4 rpg as a ninth grader. Mattek looks for sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2806613' first='Camden' last='Folts'] (6-2), a very strong defensive player, and senior [player_tooltip player_id='3021003' first='Jeremayah' last='Cantu'] (5-11) to play key roles along with senior [player_tooltip player_id='2851730' first='Cameron' last='Hahn'] (5-10) and sophomore transfer [player_tooltip player_id='3788481' first='Parker' last='Hencsik'] (6-6).

6. New London -- The Bulldogs won 15 games a year ago, but with four senior starters moving on, it might be difficult to replicate that showing this time around. Still, coach Zach Molner does have one of the better players in the Bay Conference returning in the ever-improving senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2387053' first='Ryan' last='Dalhoe'] (6-5), who averaged 15.8 points and 5.4 rebounds as a junior. Dalhoe played exceptionally well over the spring and summer on the club and high school circuits and figures to be the go-to player for New London. Joining Dalhoe as a returning regular is senior [player_tooltip player_id='3021411' first='Cory' last='Brooker'] (6-3), who averaged 2.9 ppg and 3.0 rpg last winter. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='3021417' first='Mason' last='Gore'] (6-0) and gifted junior lead guard [player_tooltip player_id='2381628' first='Camron' last='Taylor'] (6-2) also figure to play huge roles for New London.

7. Shawano -- Former Green Bay East and Green Bay Preble coach Rick Rosinski takes over the coaching duties at Shawano at a good time as the Hawks return two proven performers in the Bay Conference in senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2381614' first='Jackson' last='Nordin'] (6-7) and senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140991' first='Will' last='Verkuilen'] (5-11). Featuring a defendable post and experienced ball handler in its lineup each time out, Shawano could prove to be one of the surprise teams in the Bay. Nordin averaged 17 ppg and 7 rpg as a junior while Verkuilen contributed 15.4 ppg and 2.1 rpg. Finding the right pieces to mesh with Nordin and Verkuilen will be key for Rosinski. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2807278' first='Grayson' last='Swedberg'] (5-10), [player_tooltip player_id='3022133' first='Brayden' last='Mead'] (5-9) and [player_tooltip player_id='2400263' first='Austin' last='Heling'] (6-4) along with junior [player_tooltip player_id='2824543' first='Enrique' last='Pahl'] (6-0) all played big minutes for the Hawks a year ago when they finished 9-16.

8. Green Bay West -- Finding replacements for the top three scorers of a year ago -- all lost to graduation -- is the biggest hurdle third-year coach Malcolm Moore and the Wildcats face entering the 2026-27 season. Alston Metoxen (19.5 ppg), KJ Howell (8.2 ppg) and Kyle Gustafson (7.9 ppg) were key players a year ago, but newcomers will have to take over the scoring loaded that trio provided a year ago. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='3020170' first='Urijah' last='Moore'] (5-10) and [player_tooltip player_id='3189518' first='Isaiah' last='Hester'] (6-1) each started for the Wildcats last winter and averaged 5.2 ppg and 2.3 ppg, respectively, as the Wildcats finished 1-23. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='3020169' first='Amarei' last='Moore'] (5-10) should also factor into the regular playing rotation for the Wildcats after averaging 2.4 ppg in a reserve role last winter.

9. Green Bay East -- JD DeVault resigned as the coach at Green Bay East in September after four years and an 11-87 record. Not having a coach less than six weeks from the opening of the season is a concern, but so, too, is the lack of firepower and experience on the Red Devils' roster. Leading scorer Amari Wolfe (13.7 ppg) graduated and no other player in the Green Bay East program averaged in double figures a year ago when the squad went 5-19. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='3020123' first='Demarion' last='Brown'] (6-0) is the top returning scorer at 3.9 ppg while junior [player_tooltip player_id='3549152' first='Ashon' last='Wolfe'] (6-2) contributed 3.6 ppg. The backcourt figures to include junior [player_tooltip player_id='3020122' first='Jullian' last='Matthew'] (2.5 ppg) and senior [player_tooltip player_id='3020118' first='Nathan' last='Hotchkiss'] (2.7 ppg).

Top Returning Scorers

[player_tooltip player_id='2434543' first='Logan' last='Ramczyk'], Xavier (23.4 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2436991' first='Drew' last='Lenz'], Winneconne (19.2 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2381614' first='Jackson' last='Nordin'], Shawano (17.0 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2140980' first='Tayden' last='Wilke'], Menasha (16.0 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2387053' first='Ryan' last='Dalhoe'], New London (15.8 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2140991' first='Will' last='Verkuilen'], Shawano (15.4 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2508494' first='Isaac' last='Feske'], Seymour (15.0 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2511764' first='Shamir' last='Senyange'], Menasha (11.1 ppg)
[player_tooltip player_id='2615539' first='Jordan' last='Krause'], Seymour (11.0 ppg)

Projected All-Conference Teams
First Team
[player_tooltip player_id='2508494' first='Isaac' last='Feske'], 6-3, Sr., Seymour
[player_tooltip player_id='2434543' first='Logan' last='Ramczyk'], 6-2, Sr., Xavier
[player_tooltip player_id='2436991' first='Drew' last='Lenz'], 5-11, Soph., Winneconne
[player_tooltip player_id='2387053' first='Ryan' last='Dalhoe'], 6-4, Sr., New London
[player_tooltip player_id='2615539' first='Jordan' last='Krause'], 6-0, Jr., Seymour

Second Team
[player_tooltip player_id='2811198' first='Cael' last='Loberger'], 6-1, Jr., Fox Valley Lutheran
[player_tooltip player_id='2381614' first='Jackson' last='Nordin'], 6-7, Sr., Shawano
[player_tooltip player_id='2140980' first='Tayden' last='Wilke'], 5-10, Sr., Menasha
[player_tooltip player_id='2381575' first='Braden' last='Heiges'], 6-0, Sr., Fox Valley Lutheran
[player_tooltip player_id='2509443' first='Caden' last='Schuler'], 6-2, Sr., Xavier

The Big Five
Best Shooter: [player_tooltip player_id='2434543' first='Logan' last='Ramczyk'], Xavier
Best Rebounder: [player_tooltip player_id='2381614' first='Jackson' last='Nordin'], Shawano
Best Defender: [player_tooltip player_id='2615539' first='Jordan' last='Krause'], Seymour
Best Collegiate Prospect: [player_tooltip player_id='2436991' first='Drew' last='Lenz'], Winneconne
Most Improved: [player_tooltip player_id='3022982' first='Aaron' last='Zimmer'], Winneconne
