There are not too many players that play with the chip on their shoulder that the 6-0 sophomore does. One of the better players, at getting downhill, John plays very physical and had no problem getting to the rim, at will, delivering contact and finishing in a variety of ways. As aggressive as he was, getting to the hoop, John was equally impressive making good decisions and finding his teammates for good scoring opportunities.
John brought toughness and intensity to the floor, making an impact on both ends. A multi-sport athlete, he excelled in physical matchups, winning 50-50 balls and setting the tone with effort. His speed created advantages in transition, leading to easy baskets, while his defensive hustle saved points with chase-down plays and timely deflections. John’s all-around competitiveness was a clear strength for Team 6.
John was the steady hand that anchored Power 5’s offense. With exceptional court awareness and adaptability, he consistently made the right reads—dissecting defenses with precision passes to dunker spot finishers and shooters. His downhill attack opened up the floor, while his decision-making kept things under control when games got tight.
John brought a physical presence from the guard position. He committed to rebounding and pushing the break. His strong line drives to the basket made help side defenders an afterthought.
John is a 5’9 combo guard out of Menasha. He comes to camp after finishing his summer ball with All Wisconsin. John wields physicality and speed with the ball in his hands. He proved to be able to absorb and also avoid contact when attacking the basket. He showed good instincts in the passing lanes and moved on the flight of the ball. He tallied a great deal of rebounds and steals in the afternoon.
