About Kendrix

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A confident shooter and reliable accuracy from mid-range and beyond the arc. Strong ball-handling skills allow him to create his own shot and navigate pressure effectively. Sees the floor well, makes smart decisions, and plays with high basketball IQ. On defense, I hustle, read plays quickly, and work hard for stops. I go after rebounds, boxing out, and grabbing boards on both ends.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am competitive but calm. I don't get rattled easily, and I stay focused no matter what's happening in the game. I am coachable and always willing to learn, whether it's picking up a new skill or adjusting my game to help the team. I think things through on the court and stay composed in big moments.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

As a freshman in high school, I am still exploring clubs and organizations. In middle school, I earned Student of the Month and consistently made the Superior Honor Roll.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a freshman, playing varsity football and even starting at quarterback has helped me build skills like leadership and teamwork. I've learned how to stay calm under pressure, support my teammates, and work with older players. Being in that role pushed me to work harder, think fast, and set a good example both on and off the field. It's helped me grow a lot as a player and as a person.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I haven't faced any major challenges so far, but I try to stay focused and work hard every day to keep improving myself both on and off the court.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm still figuring out exactly what I want in a college. Still, I'm looking for a school where I can challenge myself academically and also continue playing sports at a competitive level. I want to attend a college where I can grow as a student-athlete and be part of a team.
