retains the #1 spot after the update. Since March his stock has gone way up, and he’s added 4 more Division I offers (now up to 6). Including one from the hometown team, the UNLV Rebels. I watched him play with the Utah Prospects this past weekend at EYBL Session 4 and he was getting to his spots per usual. He had a few plays in particular where he wisely utilized his pivot foot to get his shot off in the paint. He was also dropping in 3’s, and competed with intensity on the defensive end in the prospects matchup with Uplay. Considering the momentum he has, there may be another few colleges who extend offers before the summer is over.

provided 17 points for the Jaguars yesterday afternoon. He connected on long range shots, drove to the hoop, and handled the rock a bit to help them deal with Notre Dame’s constant pressure. His ability to get to his spots is next level, and while they didn’t all go in. He made shots when he needed to. As a defender, he made his opponents work to try and gain ground. Plus he had a couple of steals and a block. Expect him to keep it going.

There was absolutely nothing the 6’4” guard didn’t do this past weekend. In fact, while known for his elite 3-point shooting ability, he put that skill on the back burner this weekend to show his bag off. Don’t get me wrong, he still knocked down a grip of 3’s, but he put his focus on attacking the basket and getting paint touches while playing off two and surveyed every option possible before putting the ball in the bucket. He was diving on the floor for loose balls, guarding everybody, active on the glass, and so much more to will his teams to wins against some of the top competition in the country while playing almost every minute of every game. Coaches were flocking to his games and whether if they were to watch him or not, I know for a fact they all left with Aaron’s name circled so they can find ways to watch him more.

‘s production was off the charts at Section 7. He had 32 points in Desert Pines’ first game against St. John Bosco. Scoring from all 3 levels and making the defense pay anytime they gave him breathing room. His aggressiveness also opened the door for other guys, and he never took his foot off the gas. He then continued to stuff the stat sheet the rest of weekend, averaging 24.5 PPG. While going 22/23 from the line. He’s already heard from a few other schools since the event wrapped up, including New Mexico, High Point, UCSB, and Stanford.

Aaron proves time and time again that he is one of the most efficient scorers in the country. He finished in the top four in scoring with 17.7 PPG at a 56% clip (54.2% from 3); something that is becoming the norm for the sharpshooter. Nonetheless, he still finished with 3 assists per game, showcasing his IQ to find his teammates when defenses begin to key in on him. Defensively, he averaged 1.7 steals per game and showed improvement in taking bumps and staying in front of quicker guards; a testament to his work in the weight room.

showcased his scoring prowess and defensive instincts night in and night out for the Desert Pines Jaguars this winter. His handle, change of direction, and long strides allow him to slip by or to the side of defenders. From there, he lets it go with a ton of confidence, and he is capable of dropping shots from beyond the volleyball line. His consistency is another great trait, and he brings a high-level approach every time he steps on the court. With that type of production and mindset, he should firmly be in the mix as a contender in next season’s Nevada POY race.

A true three-point specialist, Aaron McMorran’s shot making from beyond the arc was on another level, especially in the second half where he nailed multiple catch and shoot attempts that proved him to be the best jumpshooter in the gym. This lefty set his feet quickly in transition for single motion releases, with excellent mechanics from top to bottom including his arc and elevation. He was very poised and patient versus closeouts understanding how to use his jab step to create space.

McMorran made his Utah Prospects EYBL debut and did not disappoint. He is a fluid, three-level scorer and playmaker. His shooting ability in the simple catch-and-shoot was great, and he is a ball mover who can dribble into his shots. With such a solid outside shooting game, he often gets bad closeouts that lead to attacks at the rim. With a variety of finishing moves on display this weekend at The War Before the Storm in Texas, this kid is going to be fun to watch, and he fits in well with this 2028 group out in Utah. He currently holds 2 Division 1 offers and look fo rthat number to explode after the spring and summer.
