5: Pueblo West
Pueblo West has started the season 2-2, they have a very good group of guys on this team. Leading the team is big guard Taylor Harris, who can is one of the best point guards in Colorado. So far he is averaging 19.5 points, 3 assists, and 7.5 rebounds per game. He has a good group of scorers around him as well so look out for them.
4: Lewis-Palmer
The 2018-2019 4A championship winning team is back and ready. Despite loosing a big chunk of seniors they are school who has built a winning culture and have won their first three games. They have players who did not see much time and players from JV are stepping up. They have Eddie Speller who is a good athlete who thrives inside, he is averaging 11.6 points so far. They also have 6’3 wing in Cameron Lowe who is leading the team in scoring with 15.3 points per game, he is someone who has good size and can attack inside and out.
3: Mead
Mead has a very impressive team this year building one of the most talented rosters in the state. This team can straight up score, they are averaging 92.6 points per game in their three games. They won two of the three games only loosing to Palmer in overtime. Their leading scorer, averaging 17.6 points per game, is only a sophomore in Elijah Knudsen, who might be the best shooter in the state. They also have a good point guard in Will Maher averaging 15.6 points and 5.3 assist per game. This team is an exciting team to lookout for this year.
2: Harrison
Harrison is another team that is super talented and is ready to take over this year. They have one of the best juniors in Donta Dawson who has been one of the best scorers in his class. He is so far averaging 16.6 points per game. Also his classmate Tayzhean Archuleta who is someone who can score in bunches. Watch out for this team to be coming for a great season.
1: Cheyenne Mountain
This team is coming off an impressive 4-0 start and a win in the Fountain Fort Carson tournament. Leading the way for them is University of New Mexico signee Javonte Johnson, who last year averaged 22.4 points per game and so far this year is averaging 29.3 points per game. Another player has stepped up, that is junior Wade Jones, who is averaging 17.3 points per game. This duo is someone to look out for and they have a good cast of teammates around them.
