2020 Rankings: Biggest Movers
With the latest rankings update came some big movers both up and down the list. After expanding the rankings to 70 overall, there are many prospects who entered the list for the first time. Here’s a look at the biggest risers in the latest rankings:
Rashad Bishop, Ballad (The Ville) – Unranked–>13; Bishop was a revelation when I saw him for the first time in June. Since then Rashad has had a great showing at Next Up Recruits Camp and possesses all the intangibles you like to see in a prospect. He has elite length and athleticism. Bishop’s upside depends on his skill level and I was told he’s a big time football recruit but he can certainly have a future on the hardwood if he chooses to go that way.
Terrin Hamilton, Scott County (M.A.T.T.S. Mustangs) – 28–>15; Terrin started to make his name known with a perfect shooting performance on his way to 19 points in the 11th region tournament last season. Hamilton was sidelined with a broken wrist for a while but has bounced back and continues to improve. His future is likely as a wing in college but he’s not afraid to post up also.
Dallas Rufus, Waggener (Louisville Legends) – 31–>19 – Dallas is quickly establishing himself as a college prospect with his skill and shooting. Rufus is a good athlete who continues to improve with the ball in his hands. As Dallas has developed, he has impressed more each time I’ve seen him and he could certainly land at the D1 level if he keeps playing well and adding to his game.
Brayden Sebastian, Garrard County (IAM3Rd ICE) – 38–>23 – Sebastian has great size on the wing at nearly 6’5 and shoots the ball really well. Brayden is strong and well built but lacks high level athleticism. As his ball handling improves, Sebastian could find a home at the D1 level if he can get enough exposure and be seen by the right people.
Trevon Harris, John Hardin (KY Defenders) – 50–>38 – Trevon has great length and really knows how to guard. As he’s growing, Trevon keeps getting better and better offensively and has a relatively high ceiling. Harris is starting to affect the game more in all aspects and could certainly find a college home. It’s hard to tell exactly what his ceiling is right now but Trevon should thrive in a bigger role this season at John Hardin.
Joe Meador, Franklin County (CKY Magic – Robinson) – Unranked–>41 – Potential, potential, potential! Joe only played 2 varsity games last season but he’s legit 6’8 and skilled. Meador tries to dunk everything and he has a chance to be really good if he’ll keep developing. On top of that, he’s still growing and could end up closer to 6’10. Joe needs to start adding weight and muscle but the potential is there for him to be a D1 level player.
