2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2309944' first='Josiah' last='Harrington'] & 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2523928' first='Vasaun' last='Wilmington'] (North Scott)

Having the best player in the state is a pretty good way to start a "dynamic duo" and that's the case here with Harrington, an Iowa State commit and nationally ranked prospect. A 6-6/6-7 wing who can do it all at a high level, he's coming off a junior year in which he put up 24.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, and shot better than 50% from the floor. Wilmington's emergence last season as an elite ball-handler, playmaker, and second scorer alongside Harrington was huge for the Lancers, who will be looking to make some noise this winter. He averaged 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists on 46-40-73 shooting. After combining to average 41 points a game last season, 50 wouldn't be outlandish this winter.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2523932' first='Kalan' last='Steinbeck'] & 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2366206' first='Jeremiah' last='Slaughter'] (Council Bluffs Lincoln)

These two combined to shoot 121-278 (43.5%) from behind the arc last season, obviously a fantastic number. And they do it in a variety of different ways. Steinbeck, who now holds offers from Nebraska, Creighton, and Saint Louis, is a big, 6-7 wing with one of the most pure strokes in the state. With his size, he can get his shot off pretty much whenever he wants, and the rest of his skill set is rapidly developing. Slaughter is a quick-twitch, shifty guard who can set his teammates up, play with or without the ball in his hands, and he's a dynamic shooter off the bounce. The Lynx bring a lot of firepower back and should be the best team out west this winter.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2419846' first='Nicare' last='Cavil'] & 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2116043' first='Joshua' last='Jenkins'] (Johnston)

After finishing runner-up last winter, the Dragons may very well be the favorite in 4A this winter, in large part because of these two dynamic weapons whose skill sets complement each other well. Cavil is a lightning-quick guard who is among the best ball-handlers in the state, and his ability to create quality looks off the dribble for himself and his teammates is rivaled by few. He put up 16.1 points, 3.2 assists, and 2.0 steals per game last season. Jenkins is a long, athletic, and really talented shooting threat on the wing with great size at 6-6/6-7. Like Steinbeck from CBAL, his size allows him to shoot over just about anyone, and he has a pure stroke, especially off the catch. He buried 42.9% of his 3-point attempts last season and is also a versatile defender.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2164515' first='Jaxson' last='Bean'] & 2029 [player_tooltip player_id='2918369' first='Kaden' last='Gomez'] (Kennedy)

These two didn't put up the massive numbers that the other tandems on this list did last season, combined to average 22.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 2.6 steals per game, but the Cougars will be among the best teams in the eastern part of the state this winter and these two are a huge part of the reason why. Bean, the senior leader in the backcourt, led the Cougs in scoring (12.5), rebounding (4.8), and assists (5.4) last season. His physicality is a game-changer and can cause real problems for teams with smaller guards. Gomez, fresh off a fantastic freshman year in which he put up 10.3 points and shot 44.6% from the 3-point line, is one of the best shooters in the state and will get plenty of open looks from Bean, Drew McKowen, and the rest of the talented and deep Cougars.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2204081' first='Charlie' last='King'] & 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2772350' first='Frank' last='Lee IV'] (Roosevelt)

King, committed to play his college ball at Northern Iowa, is one of the best players in the state. He's an efficient three-level scorer with a high IQ who knows when to take over games as a scorer or when he needs to get his teammates involved. He put up 20.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.6 steals per game on 51-33-69 shooting splits as a junior. Lee is quickly emerging as one of the better two-way wings in the class. Armed with ideal size, length, and athleticism on the perimeter, he can defend one through four at this level, and he can play with or without the ball on the offensive end.
