Fiedler is the No. 1 player in the entire state, so of course, he's the top player in the conference. He led the conference in scoring as a sophomore at 24 points a game, and I am willing to bet that he does the same this season. I do expect some huge scoring performances as defenses do everything in their power to try and slow him down. He's bigger, stronger, and more skilled than a season ago, and what he was able to do this summer against some of the top players in the country lets me know that he's ready to do it all again. Fiedler will be the heartbeat of Regis, and whatever wins they get go through him. He's top dog.

Christian heads into his junior year and sophomore season was one for the books as he made All-State and was an All-Conference player. Chaparral heads into he season as one of the favorites, and Christian is a big part of it. He looks as locked in as ever defensively, he scores with relative ease, and the game is starting to slow down for him to where he's manipulating defenses with not only his scoring but playmaking as well. He's a very polished player who continues to find ways to grow, and colleges are finally starting to catch on as he's picking up attention. I expect him to have some monster games this season and Chaparral to make an even further push behind their leading scorer.

Luke seems to be even more dangerous than he was a season ago, and that's saying something, as I feel he has the highest ceiling in the class and conference. He's already one of the most balanced players in the entire state, but comes into his junior season with a chip on his shoulder. He's been looking bouncy as of late with plenty of dunks in traffic, and also has a consistent deep ball. Luke checks off all boxes as a plus defender, scorer, and playmaker, and he has the size that causes problems for opposing teams. He was incredible as a sophomore, but this might be the year that he makes an even bigger jump, and I think it steps into the spot as the top player in the conference. The CSU commit is one of the best players in the entire state and will be the reason that have a chance to win it all. Howery might be the most underrated player in the state despite being one of the state's best, and this year he proves it.

Drew will likely have the best stat line in the entire state due to how much his team will need him to be great. He has one of the highest usage rates out of any player in the state, and the All-State player shows up in every game. Paine is a three-level scorer who has excellent footwork. He backs defenders down, goes right up on rebounds, read and reacts to double teams, and he does what he wants on the floor. He has a great understanding of the game, and T-Ridge is set up very well around him. This will be another year of him perfecting his craft and battling each night as he gets ready to head up to Greeley and compete at UNC. Paine is a player to make sure you go see, and he's easily a top 5 player in the conference.

Junker is a walking double-double who uses his size and strength to get the best out of guys, but what stands out about him is his willingness to compete. He does not give up on plays, he plays hard on every possession, and he's a skilled big man with soft touch around the rim. He grabs rebounds that are out of his position and goes right up with the ball. As a junior, he put up 15.4 points and 11 rebounds a game, but now steps into a spot where he will have to be the scoring option, so I expect him to be more aggressive on that front. Junker runs the floor well, makes the right decision when he gets the ball, and is the top big man in the conference.

Jacob is a bucket. He's a true go-to scorer who put up 18.6 points a game as a sophomore, and he finds ways to manipulate the defense. Jacob has good size for a guard at 6'5, and he's a skilled, downhill attacker. He uses his size for smaller defenders and blows by bigger defenders. He excels in iso situations but is also turning into more of a willing passer who can move without the ball and score. Rock Canyon is my darkhorse team to win state this year, and Jacob is a big reason for that. I expect for him to be a consistent scorer and presence that the Jaguars lean on. He will have to be even better this season for them to make a push, and I am expecting that. He comes in as the No. 6 player in the conference.

Williams is the No.7 player in the class but he might be the top X factor as well as his presence determines just how far Chaparral goes. When he's aggressively scoring, owning the boards, and dominating his matchup, there's not another team in the state that can match Chaparral. He has excellent size, he rebounds in bunches, and he becomes a lob threat when the offense slows down. Luke is one of those quiet players that you see make some plays, but then look at the box score and don't notice that he had 10 rebounds and 3 blocks as well. He's a steady contributor for Chapparal, and I'm excited to see what steps he takes in his senior year. He's the bridge over there for a state favorite.
