Here are eleven of my must-see prospects this winter. This list is comprised of some of the top players in this 2027 class, as well as some newer names, recent stock-risers, and one dynamic duo. Check out some of my must-see prospects in the 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375385' first='Jalen' last='Davis'] Bremerton

The top prospect in this Washington 2027 class, Davis topped the 2A with Bremerton last season and looks to bring home another title this winter. He's a must-see player for anyone who hasn't watched him yet. He brings elite court awareness to the floor, a smooth jumper, and some crafty finishing around the rim. He really is a kid who makes those around him better while playing with pace and control that highlight his high IQ.

[player_tooltip player_id='2196830' first='Jaylen' last='McLaughlin'] & [player_tooltip player_id='2400280' first='Raider' last='Finau'] Bothell

This duo is gearing up for their second year together at Bothell. They helped take the Cougars from 6-15 in 2023-24 to 10-14 last season, and I'm looking for another step forward this winter, maybe even a push toward a state tournament appearance. McLaughlin is a smart guard who understands how to shift defenses and get his teammates into space, as well as being an excellent 3-point threat. Finau gives them some versatility up front, a rim defender, and a scoring threat who can play facing up or backing down. Look out for this talented duo this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1974915' first='Zubayr' last='Toms'] Mode Prep

Toms is a member of the new Mode Prep in Liberty Lake. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite prospects in the state, as an athletic, aggressive guard whose explosiveness shows up on both ends of the floor. He can knock down the three at a high clip and displays a killer mindset to make plays, assert himself on the court, and go at whoever lines up against him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2144895' first='Jayden' last='Hunt'] Lake Washington

A big riser last season, Hunt helped lift the Kangs into the playoff discussion while averaging over 20 points per game. He's a crafty guard who uses change of speeds to get the edge on defenders and has displayed an uncanny knack for hitting shots from all sorts of angles in close. Look out for another big season from Hunt and the Kangs this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140802' first='Achilles' last='Reyna'] Rainier Beach

Reyna made the move to Rainier Beach this year to lead their frontcourt. They have a ton of talented wings and guards, but Reyna gives them a unique look around the paint with his strength, athleticism, and skill. His ability to attack out of different spots and put the ball on the floor with various moves will prove a difficult matchup for most opposing big men.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685500' first='Karson' last='Maze'] Mead

Maze is a smaller guard at 5-foot-10, but he plays with all the heart and fire needed to succeed at his size. He's a solid athlete who can challenge defenders at the rim, and has a great first step and balance that allows him to burst through gaps or separate on the perimeter. He'll be Mead's go-to guy this winter and is a kid who can set the tone on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2384270' first='Aiden' last='Sanchez'] Sunnyside

Sanchez has been Sunnyside's top guy since his freshman season, and he continues to showcase his mix of playmaking and scoring for the Grizzlies. He's an immensely intelligent player who doesn't get sped up, plays well off two feet, and shows great feel for making plays in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='1936885' first='Edison' last='Kan'] Glacier Peak

We've mentioned Kan's name quite a few times leading up to the season, and he continues to raise expectations for his junior season. He's been an excellent scorer for the Grizzlies this fall, and a lot of it has to do with his strength and decision-making. He's picking his spots from every level really well, keeping defenders off balance and allowing for more space to make plays. He's also been on balance and playing with a solid base, keeping him in control and ready to make quick decisions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2674683' first='Nathan' last='Zettle'] West Valley (Spokane)

Zettle's stock has been quietly rising over the last year as he continues to show more and more growth as a point guard and playmaker. He flashed on the scene in his sophomore year as a shooter/scorer at West Valley, whose quickness and attacking mindset led to some big numbers. Now, he's blending that scoring ability with a more pass-first approach, with the ability to still get a bucket in big spots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2626156' first='Mason' last='Emil'] Mount Rainier

Emil had a huge spring and summer, and along with some physical growth, the Mount Rainier wing has displayed a lot more diversity to his game than we saw in his sophomore campaign. He's a guy who can initiate offense, shoot the three at a good rate, attack off the bounce, and make plays by the rim. He'll be a key riser to watch this winter, and we're curious to see how he can help elevate the Rams this season.

Here are eleven of my must-see prospects this winter. This list is comprised of some of the top players in this 2027 class, as well as some newer names, recent stock-risers, and one dynamic duo. Check out some of my must-see prospects in the 2027 class.
