What players from the Sophomore Showcase made the biggest impression last Saturday morning? Here is my list!

[player_tooltip player_id='2544137' first='Acaurii' last='Clark'] of Two Rivers. This weekend we got a really good idea of what Clark's 6'3, strong, long and agile frame could lead to as a prospect. Opponents weren't able to physically defend Clark's physical ability to get to the rim regardless if they were in good position or not. Clark finished in a constant rate plus defensively his gifts made an impact too. Clark has a chance to have a special sophomore season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2557528' first='Ichima' last='Idoko'] of DeLaSalle. If Ichima is a 6'8 forward that centers around being an athletic slasher that finishes at the cup with the ball or moving without the ball, he is going to be a strong prospect. If Idoko continues to show the skill as a handler, touch the ball in finisher, and collect and push transition talent, he will be a strong prospect. If Idoko continues to improve at both of those things? He's surely the top college prospect in his class. If Idoko learns to be a possession by possession outstanding defender and really learns how to play the team game that DeLaSalle is known for? If you add all of those pieces together the potential is there to be a nationally ranked top 50-75 talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='2388674' first='Jonas' last='McCreary'] of DeLaSalle. How good could Jonas be? We are talking about a 6'6 guard that has a very real chance to be one of the elite players in his class. Jonas is bigger than most two guards/wings at 6'6, he can shoot it at a high level, he is comfortable handling the basketball meaning he can be a guard, he's an explosive finisher and Jonas physically has the ability to be a standout defender. Everything is there for Jonas to be a special prospect as long as he continues to take steps to improve all over and we've seen him do that the last four-five months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560534' first='Tre' last='Moore'] of Hopkins. Moore was the player that really stood out to me the most at the freshman event last year, and he was one of the most talented players at the event once again. Tre is a stronger guard than most ball handlers at this event which physically puts him ahead but Tre is just as quick if not quicker, and just as explosive if not more explosive than the other ball handlers. His distribution was outstanding plus this event doesn't have the help defenders in place to stop anything Tre does going to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2385822' first='Brooks' last='Rechtzigel'] of Cannon Falls. At 6'3 the guards/wings couldn't defend Brooks. He is quick and has good size for a guard, but the biggest reason that players couldn't stop Brooks is his comfort with the left, and comfort with the right. Brooks didn't have to deal with much help because the help that was there at this age isn't physically capable of stopping him at the rim so Brooks went by and finished at a high rate, and one point threw down one of the top dunks of the event. Skilled all around player that is one of the elite outstate sophomores.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'] of Tartan. Saw Wilson play twice and it basically became..... he just has to decide on how he wants to score, not if he will score. Most of the sophomore guards in this event had no chance at stopping the quickness of Wilson however he wanted to use it. Varsity upperclassmen that were taught how to defend in positions as a team couldn't stop Wilson last winter, of course sophomores to be at a showcase event had no chance to limit him. And Wilson mixed in the attacks with transition scores, pull-ups and the occasional three, if he needed to use it.
