Moving up 50 spots in the Player Rankings isn’t easy. You’d better play exceptionally well and show new positive aspects of your game. Well, DeGeorge accomplished those lofty feats over the past several months for both Waukesha South and 24: UP . His quickness, aggressiveness and ability to score and pass have become true assets for the improved point guard. DeGeorge has been one of the more consistent and productive players for the 24: UP program this spring and has proven his ability to defend away from the basket with his speed and peskiness. DeGeorge averaged 23.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 steals as a junior and received second-team all-Woodland West Conference recognition.

DeGeorge showed he can be successful as a point-guard in the matchup against the Fury. His quickness, ball handling and court vision were helpful to his team as was his on-ball defense. DeGeorge set up his teammates, but he also found opportunities to score himself as he finished with 10 points and had two huge baskets late in the tightly contested game. DeGeorge’s ability is apparent when he’s on the court and his mental and physical toughness were also impressive in the one-point loss.

The 6-foot-0 junior sniper was all over the scoring column for Waukesha South on Saturday morning. DeGeorge is a tremendous outside shooter for South and had four triples from well beyond the three-point arc in their game versus Watertown. DeGeorge also was able to create in transition, finish through contact, and iced out the game at the line for South. DeGeorge is shifty, under control, and can hit threes off the bounce and off screens. DeGeorge averages nearly 24 points per game and shoots 41 percent from three. DeGeorge is trending to have a big spring and summer with 24:UP.

DeGeorge played some stellar basketball over the weekend while helping 24: UP Burton to a 4-0 record in Appleton. His long-distance shooting in a 70-63 win on Saturday over Wisconsin Breakaway was impressive as he finished with four triples and scored a game-best 28 points in the come-from-behind triumph. The next day, DeGeorge overcame a slow start to score 21 points in a 76-59 win over All-Wisconsin Simpson. DeGeorge’s squad trailed 37-31 at intermission against All-Wisconsin , but his ability to get to the basket and make shots and free throws helped his squad rally for the triumph.
