We released our updated Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings on Monday evening. This update featured our first shot at ranking the Top 25 prospects in the class, over 50 new names, and the growth of our database to nearly 350 names in the current freshman class. As always, here at Prep Hoops Indiana, we don't just release rankings and forget about them. We strive to always dive deeper than that. Throughout this week we will be highlighting each of the Top 25 prospects, going over some of the new names added to the Watch List, and taking a closer look at some of the highest upside prospects that narrowly missed the cut in our initial Top 25. Let's take a closer look at prospects 5-1.

Positional size, basketball IQ, playmaking ability, and a knack for putting the ball in the basket. This Blackford High School star has the total package as a freshman. Leggett was second on the team in scoring at 14.4 points per game while also dishing out 3.6 assists per game and knocking in just over one three-point shot per game. He is a pure point guard that will attract a good deal of college attention down the road.

It was an up-and-down regular season for Indianapolis Lutheran, but the Saints are moving on to the Regional to face Hauser. At 6'5" with a very strong build, Harris is as physically imposing as anybody in the freshman class. He is also still very athletic at his size. As he continues to develop his skill level his game will really take off. He is a no-doubt Top 5 prospect in the class.

Lampley's upside is as high as any prospect in the class. That is probably true even beyond the borders of Indiana. He has the ball handling, passing, and vision of a true point guard while standing at 6'5" with impressive athleticism. We didn't get to see much of him this year as he left Lawrence Central's team very early in the season, but he is undoubtedly one of the top prospects in the class.

Coolman was so impressive dating back to the Charlie Hughes Showcase, and throughout his freshman season at Penn High School, that there was some serious consideration for him being in the top spot. He is another big point guard in this class. The 6'4" guard led Penn in scoring, rebounding, and assists averaging 15.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.

Washington entered New Albany High School with a lot of buzz and hype. The 6'5" wing has done a great job of living up to the high expectations. He has had some massive games against high-level competition including a 21-point performance that Prep Hoops Indiana watched against Jeffersonville. His combination of athleticism, positional size, and skill makes him a very worthy #1 player in the class.
