Winter had an all state 16u season and has a chance for a big junior year.  He was really good skill wise, has good mobility and can play a few different spots for his squad. A double-double waiting to happen.

Covin Winter Covin Winter 6'6" | SF Mankato Loyola | 2028 State MN – The six-foot-six-inch 2028 Mankato Loyola forward Winter showed off his consistent outside shot for Fury Shep making a high percentage and large volume of 3-pointers. Winter is a talent that can play on the perimeter offensively and defend at the rim defensively with his athletic jumping ability and solid size. 

Active Forward that impacted the game on both ends of the floor in the times I was able to watch him on Friday night. Fluid athlete that used his length and size to his advantage really well. Good rebounder that showed his ability to rip and run off the defensive glass and make plays in transition. In the half court, he was an excellent cutter off the ball that was a play finisher. High energy forward with untapped potential that’s worth keeping an eye on for the next couple years.

Covin Winter Covin Winter 6'6" | SF Mankato Loyola | 2028 State MN – Winter is a six-foot-five-inch 2028 forward that put together a 26 point, 15 rebound, and 6 block performance versus Madela and a 24 point, 15 rebound, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 block game to open the season. In a game versus Nicollet, Winter scored 25 while blocking 2 shots and showed off his perimeter shooting making two 3-pointers. Winter’s game from last May seems to be growing for him from being a front-court only player to being able to play on the wing.
