There were 12 games played on Monday across the state and we had boots on the ground from Arsenal Tech High School where Crispus Attucks, ranked #2 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Preseason Class 3A Top 10, dominated the Titans 84-49. Despite the games that have already been played, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving is REALLY when the Indiana High School Basketball season gets underway. There is a full slate of games this evening and we will have coverage from the Class 4A state finals rematch between Fishers and Ben Davis. Let's take a look at the best games of the evening.

Ben Davis @ Fishers

It doesn't get much better than this. One "opening night" of the Indiana High School Basketball season we are immediately treated to a rematch of the Class 4A State Championship game. When these two played to begin last season, Ben Davis was coming off of a 33-0 state championship season and lost 74-61. Now, the Tigers are the ones sporting the flashy new rings. Dynamic sophomore guards [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.'] are now a year older while Miami (OH) signee [player_tooltip player_id='1297069' first='Justin' last='Kirby'] is prepared for a breakout senior season. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='1297097' first='Nathan' last='Baker'], a Taylor signee, and [player_tooltip player_id='1525682' first='Millen' last='McCartney'] to step into bigger roles this season as seniors for Fishers as well. Then, you have two of the best football prospects in the state going head-to-head as well. Stanford recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1525664' first='JonAnthony' last='Hall'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1373105' first='Mark' last='Zackery'], who is headed to Notre Dame, were both Indiana Junior All-Stars last season on top of what they have accomplished on the gridiron. Ben Davis' advantage in this game will likely come from the front court. 6'7" Kentucky Wesleyan recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1749499' first='Tavion' last='Williams'] and 6'9" senior [player_tooltip player_id='2050030' first='Kaleb' last='Milan'] give the Giants one of the best front courts in the state. This is going to be a fun one.

Bloomington North @ Bedford North Lawrence

The start of the season will look a little bit different for Bloomington North without their star senior [player_tooltip player_id='1749527' first='Luke' last='Lindeman']. He suffered an ACL injury in the summer and will likely miss the first half or so of the season. However, they still have some talent to work with. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1560959' first='Jalen' last='Williams'] and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2140349' first='Derrick' last='Cross Jr'] will be able to expand into larger roles in Lindeman's absence. Also, look for sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2381200' first='Levi' last='Lindeman'] to pick up some of his brother's slack as well. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they feature an under-the-radar senior guard in [player_tooltip player_id='1578453' first='Patric' last='Matson']. The talented shot-maker averaged 20.1 points per game last season while shooting 62-124 for exactly 50% from beyond the arc. This will be among the top games to watch in southern Indiana on opening night.

Fort Wayne Blackhawk @ Mishawaka Marian

For fans up in northern Indiana this is the game to get to this evening. Mishawaka Marian is never an easy out and that will be true once again this season led by seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1539661' first='Deuce' last='Owens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1525680' first='Paxan' last='Sullivan']. Blackhawk Christian has been bumped up to 3A this season and enters the year ranked #8 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Preseason Class 3A Top 10. Wright State signee [player_tooltip player_id='1364589' first='Kellen' last='Pickett'] and Grace bound [player_tooltip player_id='2485632' first='Bryce' last='Sefton'] are the names to know for the Braves.

Silver Creek @ Floyd Central

Another southern Indiana matchup worth watching this evening is this one between Floyd Central and Silver Creek. The Dragons, ranked #7 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Preseason Class 3A Top 10, are led by one of the best shooters in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='1385611' first='Kasen' last='Daeger']. Daeger, who picked up a few Division I offers over the summer, averaged 16.7 points per game as a sophomore. He will be an Indiana Junior All-Star candidate this season. Watch for [player_tooltip player_id='1561483' first='Dane' last='Sprigler'], [player_tooltip player_id='2140328' first='Brandon' last='Hunter'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2476482' first='Dane' last='Caldwell'] as well on this young, but very talented, Silver Creek team. Floyd Central should be improved this season as they return everyone from last year's team. [player_tooltip player_id='1296986' first='Brock' last='Conrad'] returns 11.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game while sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2140414' first='Landon' last='Reed'] could be a breakout star in southern Indiana this season after putting up 9.6 points per game as a freshman. Look for Judson University commit [player_tooltip player_id='1297110' first='Sam' last='Higgins'] to have a strong senior season as well.

Zionsville @ Carmel

There are few, if any, scoring duos more potent than [player_tooltip player_id='1525678' first='Maguire' last='Mitchell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1525679' first='Drew' last='Snively']. Mitchell, who is signed to play at IU-Indianapolis next season, averaged 20.9 points as a junior while Snively added 17.9 points per game. Those two provide excellent size on the perimeter as well. As for Carmel, they took their lumps early in the season last year before rattling off eight wins in their final 10 games including beating Ben Davis and Fishers on back-to-back nights. Huntington bound [player_tooltip player_id='1296972' first='Alex' last='Couto'] and Indiana Junior All-Star candidate [player_tooltip player_id='1560952' first='Evan' last='Harrell'] will lead the way for the Greyhounds. Zionsville got the better of this opening night matchup last season 57-40.
