Rankings Update: 2027’s Top 10

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's rankings update month, which for the <em>Class of 2027</em> means that we've transitioned from a <em>Watch List</em> to an actual set of rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is the first time we've attempted to rank prospects in this class, and as such, it's our first look at what we believe are the <em>Top 10</em> prospects in New England.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below, we'll introduce you to each of the prospects in our first <em>Top 10</em> for the <em>Class of 2027</em>:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list {"ordered":true} --> <ol class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470964' first='Antonio' last='Pemberton']:</strong> A lead guard that's now at <em>Brewster Academy</em>, he's a nationally ranked prospect that has above the rim athleticism, can score at all three levels, and has a great feel for the game as a facilitator.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2341434' first='DJ' last='Hawkins']:</strong> A big, scoring wing at <em>St. Thomas More</em>, he's a shot creator that can score at all three levels and is comfortable handling the ball in the half court. He's got next level size and length on the perimeter and an enormous amount of upside.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470853' first='Kamsi' last='Awaka']:</strong> A physical big man from <em>Cheshire Academy</em>, does all the things you'd want out of the position; scores in the post, rebounds on both ends, protects the rim. He's a good athlete that will only improve with more repetitions.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470840' first='Josiah' last='Adamson']:</strong> A tough wing now at <em>CATS Academy</em>, he's a gifted slasher that can finish in a variety of ways at the rim. On top of his scoring, he's a tough defender that makes plays on the ball, rebounds in space, and blocks shots from the help position.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470973' first='Greyson' last='Pierce']:</strong> A versatile forward that plays at <em>Loomis Chaffee</em>, he has an advanced feel for the game as a scorer. Knows how to navigate screens, moves well without the ball, and can put it on the deck to get into his jumper. Has the positional size and tools to be a plus defender too.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470882' first='Theo' last='Edema']: </strong>An imposing big man at <em>Cushing Academy</em>, he's just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. He's a big time athlete that punishes rims, has a rapidly improving post game, and is among the class's top rim protectors.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2407057' first='Declan' last='Griffiths']:</strong> A crafty scorer on the wing at <em>Avon Old Farms</em>, he's long and wiry and plays with a competitive fire and toughness that you don't expect. He's as gifted of a scorer as any prospect in this class and gets it done at all three levels.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470859' first='Sonny' last='Batchelor']: </strong>A high motor wing playing at <em>Westminster School</em>, he really impressed this summer with his consistent effort, relentless pursuit of the basketball on the glass, and ability to score in and out of the paint. His effort won't ever go unnoticed, but he's got a high level of skill too.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2341300' first='Johnny' last='Akot Bol']:</strong> A force around the rim at the <em>MacDuffie School</em>, he's another young prospect that has enormous upside. He does a great job of rolling hard out of screens, has shown the ability to catch and finish above the rim, and is someone you don't want to challenge in the paint.<br></li> <!-- /wp:list-item --> <!-- wp:list-item --> <li><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470911' first='Logan' last='Lang']:</strong> A big time athlete from <em>Reason Prep</em>, he's super long and impressively mobile. He has the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways but shines right now with his outside shot and rim protection.
