Andrew Baxley’s Film Room: ’27s, ’28s, & ’29s Part 3

He is the highest-ranked 2027 featured and he submitted highlights from a recent Event with UAA's Team Curry. Gamble will be a key piece this year for South Florence HS because of his two-way abilities. He can play either position in the backcourt due to his tough on-ball defense, consistent perimeter shooting, and playmaking skills. His tape also showed an additional layer to his game that I haven't seen before in person: a skill as a pick-and-roll ball handler and an ability to get into the paint and finish for himself. Bowen has a knack for making things happen when he's near the ball and is fully engaged on both ends of the floor at all times. He makes life difficult for opposing ball handlers with his quick feet and active hands. He is also a strong playmaker who can get his own bucket or create opportunities for teammates. Swofford is advanced in his ability to read the game from his Point Guard position which is another attribute that helps him on both ends of the floor. He has shown good signs in his development during the High School and Grassroots Seasons and continues to stand as one of the top wings in the 2027 Class. He excels in and checks all the boxes of things you want from a prospect of his size and age. On the offensive end, Beau is a knockdown perimeter shooter and has the skill to create off the dribble. On the defensive end, he is a great rim protector and can be used 3-5. Two areas of improvement for Brannon's game would be the consistency of his offensive motor and finishing strength, but if he masters those he could become a can't-miss prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["2022028"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66d6123d598c5"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">I was impressed with Jerzidan's film from this Summer with Anderson County Bucks and Countyline Elite. He is a very quick guard who is creative with the ball in his hands and can finish in several ways at the rim. Miller-Brown can finish through contact, is strong with either hand, and even has a nice floater. He also showed good signs with his perimeter shooting on tape and is seen as a threat by opposing defenders. Singletary is a dominant force in the paint and uses his big frame to finish through contact or earn trips to the free throw line.
