My Five Best From Saturday and Sunday at SCBCA Live

With plenty of talented prospects taking the floor, several players elevated their stock with college coaches through consistent production, winning plays, and strong all-around performances. Leonard was an easy choice for this group, dominating in Saturday's second game with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists. He looked like a man amongst boys on the floor, using his size, athleticism, and skill to get just about whatever he wanted offensively. When he's getting downhill, there aren't many players at this level who can stop him, but he's also a more than capable jump shooter and facilitator. Jeremiah is not yet at the point where he can take over games offensively, but he does exactly what the Trojans need from him in protecting the rim and spacing the floor. At 6'9", that combination is extremely rare, but it's even more rare when you factor in his age and efficiency. Ward had a real argument for being the best player in the gym on Saturday, especially for those who watched the Westwood game. He was at his very best - looking explosive in attack of the rim, hitting jumpers from range off the dribble and the catch, and finishing with tough buckets around the rim. After impressing in his first weekend back in South Carolina at the USC Team Camp, McGraw had a point to prove, going against some of the best of the best in the state at SC Live. He went for 25 points in a potential State-Championship matchup with Byrnes, impressing with his shot-making at multiple levels. There was even a clear effort to get him post-up looks, using a positional size advantage to score however he could. He did a little bit of everything in their big win over Greer, racking up 12 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. At 6'4", Kaleb's length jumps out at you right away, but it's the way that he uses it to his advantage that makes him so effective. Copeland is active in passing lanes, is a great rebounder, and uses it to finish around the rim, but he's also skilled enough to hit movement threes and make plays for others off the dribble.
