South Carolina’s #1 prospect received his second college offer from D2 UNC Pembroke on April 11th, joining South Carolina State as an early suitor for this talented freshman. Triplin is playing up with MHE 16U this summer, and his gifted physical traits are an asset around some of their elite guards. Jeremiah’s most effective around the rim right now, but he will only grow more comfortable and effective doing other things as he gets older and stronger.

. From a physical standpoint, he is clearly the most intriguing player in the Class of 2029. Standing at 6’9″, Jeremiah is a major presence near the rim as a lob threat, rim protector, and rebounder. He has shown flashes of what he can be over the past two years with the potential to be a can’t-miss prospect out of the Palmetto State.

. Triplin has one of the highest ceilings of anyone in the Palmetto State, regardless of class. He was able to show some flashes in a disappointing loss for the Trojans, putting up 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks. He used his unique size and length to rebound and finish around the rim, but one of the things that is most intriguing for his long-term future is how good he was when switching onto guards on defense. This is something that they work on with Jeremiah and will be one of his most desirable attributes when the college coaches come calling over the next few years.

Jeremiah Triplin is a name that has already earned some strong recognition, but we believe that it will only continue with what we saw at the event. Back healthy and stronger, Triplin continues to show his full arsenal down low and what kind of force he could be on the court. He seals in the paint well, getting his defender behind him and understanding how to bully his way around the paint. Triplin has strong hands, is active on the boards, has nice touch around the basket, and can really bring a strong presence in the paint.
