Talon could have very well been the best player in the tournament, dominating opposing teams every game on both ends and running the court well in transition. Jenkins scores so well from all three levels, knowing how to use his 6’7″ frame to his advantage. He has smooth handles, being able to make plays happen when the ball is in his hands. I think he is a Division 1 talent player.

Ethan was a stud all weekend long, doing big things for his team. He threw down many dunks in transition but also ripping from the wing too. He is extremely athletic and uses it well on the court, being a huge threat on the offensive side of the ball. DeJong showcased a solid mid-range jumper too, meaning defenders need to stay on their toes. He is going to have a huge junior season.

Caden plays with phenomenal change of pace and sense to win on the court. He always played with high energy and effort, being the team leader for this Pioneers team. He has been getting a stronger core to absorb contact down low ad also a bigger. He doesn’t let anyone get in his head, always staying focused on the end goal for his team.

Jerome is a shifty guard who has such a natural feel for the game. He got injured his first game at state last year, forcing the team to adjust and have some players who did not have much ball handling experience, at the helm. Toby looked great off his knee, rising to get his jumper off and easily using his speed to get by defenders. He is a big time talent at Lummi Nation.
As I said, Jaeger was a big reason why Meridian was crowned the 2024 Laurel Shootout champions. Fyfe moves well without the ball, finding the weak spots in the defense and being able to pull the trigger right away. He got down-hill well all weekend too, finishing off 2 feet and showcasing a high level IQ. Him and Talon Jenkins Talon Jenkins 6'6" | SG Meridian | 2025 State WA will be forming one of the best 1-2 combos in the state.
