The agile and skilled 6’7/6’8 Kellen Troup Kellen Troup 6'8" | PF Minnehaha Academy | 2027 State MN ended his high school season leading his team to the State Championship. After Troup scored a game high 24 points, including four three pointers and three dunks in the second half to beat Goodhue 81-69 for the title, Troup was named all state and was one of the hotter prospects in the state. But sometimes when you spend a lot of time traveling in 17u (as D1 Minnesota does and should do because they are on the Adidas 3SSB) and others play more local, those locals snatch up more of the division two chances and I think we saw that with Kellen. But make no mistake, Troup has the physical abilities to play at that level and I think we could see somebody step forward and recruit him if they have the space. Kellen is definitely talented enough.

Troup earned an offer from the Air Force recently and when it comes to deserving options I think Kellen receiving this offer ranks with the best. Troup won a state title as the top player on his team as a junior and he’s been a solid player for D1 Minnesota all spring.

Kellen had a 17 point, six rebound game in the D1 Minnesota 21-point win over Gain Elite and he was the first player to make a big impact in that game. Troup had two early threes, he scored inside twice, and he had five boards most of which were defensive boards ending possessions.

Troup can be a face-up four with his perimeter touch and agility, but he can also do things around the basket as a rebounding and finishing four man.
