A year older, stronger and more experienced, Ross enters his junior season with an opportunity to become a much bigger factor for Lutheran. He was one of the few underclassmen trusted with consistent rotation minutes, and that experience should pay off as his responsibilities increase. We’ve appreciated that he doesn’t need touches or scoring opportunities to leave his mark on a game. He’s shown the ability to battle on the glass, move the ball quickly to find an open shot, make the extra pass and consistently put himself in the right position. Those are winning habits that have allowed him to earn trust. We’ve also seen his offensive confidence steadily improve as he’s become more comfortable looking for his own opportunities. Now, a year older and stronger, we’re looking for Ross to become more assertive and turn those flashes into consistent games. The intangibles have always been there, and this could be the season we see everything start coming together. Keep an eye out on him.
Ross is one of the few underclassmen who are part of the rotation. He doesn’t have to score the ball to be impactful, and that’s how you earn more minutes as a young guy. We’ve seen flashes where he’s been a force on the boards, he’s swung the ball and made the right pass, and that earns trust. He’s also started to improve as a scorer as he’s looked more comfortable. He’s available in every game, he’s a reliable prospect, and he does a bit of everything. We are excited to see him continue to grow, as we feel he has the intangibles to be a really good player. Development is the name of the game.
Ross was steady and dependable throughout the showcase, showing flashes of scoring touch and a willingness to compete on both ends. He worked hard defensively as he made hustle plays that don’t always show up on the stat sheet. Ross is a player whose effort and team-first approach could carve him meaningful minutes this season and he was a standout at the event.
Ross is a 6’3 scorer who can attack off the bounce or knock down the catch-and-shoot three. He creates space with his size and shiftiness, as he has great ball control to get clean looks. His vision and passing keep defenses off balance, making him a true dual threat. With his ability to score in bunches and run an offense, we’re eager to see him compete with the top sophomores at the showcase and show that he’s a name that should be mentioned more.
Ross is a high level scorer and playmaker who consistently creates space and capitalizes on it. At 6’2”, he uses his size, shiftiness, and ball control to generate clean looks, whether it’s pulling up from deep or finishing at the rim. Ross has a natural scoring instinct and puts up points at high clips with efficiency and confidence. What makes him even more dangerous is his vision and passing ability. He reads the floor to deliver pinpoint passes, keeping defenses off balance, making him the engine of his team’s offense. Ross is a true dual threat who commands attention every time he steps on the court
